Also, the guy that Anthony Hopkins was talking to in the "morgue" was the bad guy from The Crow, right? It sounded exactly like him and the guy was covered in old man make-up. I hope he comes back in some way also as I love the way that actor speaks, he's got such an awesome raspy voice.

And he voiced the Prophet of Truth in Halo 2!

Awesome start to the series, been looking forward to it since hearing about them making it. Loved Ed Harris who looks like he'll be an even more nasty menacing bastard than Baldy Brynner was. I never did read the Crichton novel, is it worth a gander?

What was particularly striking about it was how self-contained it felt. Like, they could never show another episode of it and I'd still feel pretty satisfied. Ed Harris's thread was the only one that didn't have enough exposition to make for a neat short story.
