Yeah they've all been really solid.

It's a slow burn so far, which I like, but each episode has added something new and interesting to the plot.

It's absolutely scratching my Battlestar Galactica "Who is a Cylon?!" itch. Can't wait to find out which of the "real" people isn't a real person but a host. You know there's at least one.

One thought I've been having...The conversations Delores is having with the black guy (I can't remember his name right now). I think they're dreams. He's not actually meeting her and talking to her, but she's dreaming them. Notice how she has one with him then next time we see her she's waking up out in the desert again. If I remember correctly she's always shown waking up in the scenes after the conversations.

I just assumed that was a standard reset method when placing hosts back into the park

That's what I thought at first.
But it got me wondering about how they would explain that to the guests that are with her. She either just gets up in the middle of the night and walks off, or they come and collect her. They make no reference to her having been gone. Now it could be that they just slept through it all. But I think it's also very possible that she's dreaming these conversations. It would fit with her journey to sentience.

Or I could be completely wrong. Either way I'm enjoying it all immensely.

strawberry floating outstanding 5th episode last night. :datass:

I think we can safely put the multiple timelines theory to bed. :P Logan mentioned about when one of the Park owners died to William and the MIB spoke to Teddy about how the hosts used to be mechanical machines in his day. Surely that means William can't be in the past?

People are still clinging on to it, though. :| I don't know what to think anymore.

I actually thought that episode made the theory more likely. Logan did mention Arnold's death but he didn't at any point say it happened 30 years ago. What he did say is that the park was still suffering financially because of it which is more likely if it was a recent event rather than something decades ago.

I think this is leading up to William learning of the maze via Dolores and it becoming a thirty year obsession. By the end of the season he's going to be involved with the catastrophic event MiB mentioned while speaking to Ford. MiB was saying the hosts were mechanical under the skin. I don't think we've seen any host skeletons in William's plotline.

Loved that Ed Harris and Hopkins conversation in the bar. The ambience and mood of this show is pitch perfect.

They don't move or act robotically (like Wild Bill in the morgue) though. They seem as modern as any other hosts. It's also been mentioned many times about how the hosts used to be less realistic. I call bullshit on that debuking.

I don't even know what is happening. I should pay more attention. Interesting though.

Another great episode. I love how Hopkins just walks around playing God. That would never get old!

Cracking episode this week :datass: Thandie Newton is quickly becoming the best thing about this show.

I've flip-flopped on the timeline theory again. :fp:

Two timelines is definitely happening.

Those 1st gen hosts would have been indistinguishable from the present day models if their faces didn't open up.

No one notice when Bernard was on the restricted floor the original Yul Brynner MIB standing in the background with the thumbs in his pockets pose?

Whoever's in charge of the music really likes Radiohead, huh? Must be building their way up to use Paranoid Android :shifty:

I enjoyed this episode, got a few theories about Bernard and Arnold, but I'm happy just to see how it plays out.

Yeah, when Bernard went to the basement in the last episode, the computer he logged in on had the old logo there if you look closely.

Also the very bottom of the new logo mentions that the park is owned by Delos. Logan and William presumably work for Delos and the company is about to buy the park outright.

Fantastic last episode. Loved the fleeting glimpse of Yul Brynner's host. Nice deft touch that.

2x07-

What are the odds that Hopkins turns out to be a robot?

Memento Mori wrote:He could be but Jeffrey Wright is more likely.

:datass:

Great episode and that reveal was well-played. When Bernard asked "What door?" my ears perked up and if they hadn't revealed it in this episode it would have been patronizing to the audience.

Anthony Hopkins can play creepy bastard like no other. He was terrifying in that last scene.

William is still Ed Harris.
