I'm kind of mixed on this so far.
I am liking it in general, but I think there's way too many plots going on at once. The constant back and forth to separate plot lines is really jarring, and whilst I'm sure that they'll all converge eventually right now there's too many distinct threads for me to enjoy this as much as I feel I should be.

I'm in the same boat really, I'm enjoying it enough mostly but it hasn't properly 'clicked' with me yet.

Thandie Newton though  :datass:

Season 2 might not happen until 2018.

We spoke to the executive moments before the renewal announcement about Westworld, Game of Thrones, and more. Here are some highlights from the interview:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Given the length of production for the first season, when do you think Westworld will return?
Casey Bloys: My suspicion is sometime in 2018 because of how big the world is and what goes into shooting it. So I don’t have a date exactly – they’re going to have to map it out and write the scripts – but my guess is sometime in ‘18.

What are the odds that Hopkins turns out to be a robot?

Great episode and that reveal was well-played. When Bernard asked "What door?" my ears perked up and if they hadn't revealed it in this episode it would have been patronizing to the audience.

Anthony Hopkins can play creepy bastard like no other. He was terrifying in that last scene.

William is still Ed Harris.

Haha, just watched it exactly what I thought, and agree with the whole lot

I still do not think I am wrong though

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck. :o Didn't see that coming at all. What a great episode. Hopkins was chillingly evil in that final scene.

I read a theory that Bernard is actually a robot version of Arnold. That underground room is where Bernard and Dolores have their talks, right? It certainly looked like it. I bet that's the past with the real Arnold before he died and Ford made a robot version of him. It's all strawberry floating coming together! :o Who was Ford making a copy of in that final scene, though?

Could be the woman from last week, too.

This show

Anthony Hopkins is just eating every scene he is in, Jeffrey Wright is incredible and that scene at the end of the last episode was heartbreaking and believable from Wright.

Just watched episode 7.

I genuinely didn't see that coming until Bernard said "what door?"

Does that mean all the tech staff are robotic too

I don't tend to read or post in TV threads until I'm fully up to date with the show so I didn't read his post.

Astonishing episode that. Wright and Hopkins were stupendous.

Really liking this, the main issue I had towards the end of the last episode was Hopkins' explanation that he's too valuable and the board just occasionally does this to test him. Why would they do that? They've killed a person to pointlessly test the creator?

I actually called both twists a while ago but it didn't stop it from being great nonetheless.

After 7 episodes

I think William is the Man in Black.

I don't think the board think he would go that far to be honest.

I've been avoiding the thread as lots of 'theories' get posted which are probably spoilers in disguise, but I love this show!
Right at the start I thought Bernard was an android when he was dreaming and it was shot very similar to how Dolores wakes up from her dreams. Then I forgot about it until the door comment suddenly confirmed everything.

Why was Bernard helping Elsie in the last episode (s01e06) when she was exploring the abandoned theater and made the discoveries about the data being sent out to the satellite and arnold making changes to the system code. Is Bernard a copy of the original Arnold?
