As I was telling my sixth formers when they asked me about it...

...How the strawberry float does anyone see that as anything other than blue and black?

Get the strawberry float out of here with your white and gold alchemy.

I've seen this about 50 times today, and I've seen it as both sets of colours. 'Tis quite funny.

+1

I honestly thought this was a wind up this morning when people started linking it - zero idea how people are seeing it as anything else. The fact that it's been confirmed as a blue and black dress makes the whole thing even more bizarre.

Doesn't it depend on the colours / lights your eyes have previously /recently been exposed to?

From Reddit:

Image
It's a matter of how your mind interprets the lighting. A white-and-gold dress in cool lighting/shadow could have produced that photo, as could a black-and-blue dress in warm yellow lighting. Your mind determines the colors of the dress based on what it assumes the lighting to be like.

That said, anyone who sees anything other than blue and black deserves to be shot at dawn.

It appears to me initially as white and gold, but the white quite quickly starts turning blue as I look at it.

Personally I think someone is having a massive troll at the entire internets expense and there are several images being sent around.
