At first I thought it was white and gold, but after looking at it for a while I'm seeing blue where the white was

Personally I think someone is having a massive troll at the entire internets expense and there are several images being sent around.

Depends on the lighting of the image, so it's all of them. In the first photo I see white (with a tinge of blue) and gold. Then another photo is blatantly white and gold, and then the final one is blue and black. It's just some pillocks moving the sliders in Photoshop up and down. Hell, you could make the strawberry floating thing pink if you wanted to.

Get the strawberry float out of here with your white and gold alchemy.

Tis

Everyone at work is saying white & gold but i think they are blind.

Wouldn't they just see black?

Still, imagine seeing a photo and thinking you see things that aren't actually there! Those idiots.

I can't see it as white and gold at all. It's blue and black.

I'm only seeing it as White and gold. I've just shown 3 other people and they are all saying black and blue.

This is strawberry floated up.

See, it genuinely doesn't matter how many in-depth explanations I read about why it might appear white + gold (and don't get me wrong, I totally understand the theory; I've seen the two grey squares illusion before), but I still cannot for the life of me ever see anything other than black and blue.

This is BS. I see it as white and gold, how the strawberry float do people see it as black and blue? My son said it is black and blue and there is an explanation as to why some people see it as white and gold. But what difference does that make? I'm not going to say "oh yeah, now I see it as black and blue!"

My wife and daughter also see it as black and blue. My son said that people who see it as white and gold are retarded, but I pointed out "you all have gooseberry fool eyesight and wear glasses, bitches".

Just out of interest, how many people seeing it as black and blue have poor eyesight/lenses or glasses?

Yes?

I see it as white and gold but that will be because I've been staring at a bright, mostly white screen for a good long while. When I close my eyes for 30 seconds and look again it appears as black and blue. Must be down to the lighting/contrast on the photo as other pictures of the dress clearly come up as black and blue.

I can't see it as anything other than black and blue, it's so weird. Do you basically have to trick yourself into seeing it as white and gold? Is there something different in our eyes or is it just how we interpret the light? Even in the lightest picture I see a tint of gold but it's obviously just a yellow light. I have relatively perfect eyesight.

Err, I think this is a joke. The first time I opened this thread the dress in the OP was gold and white and now it is black and blue. The post has not been edited so I think whatever site is hosting the image most be switching them.

No I don't think so. I've shown the picture to people and they see it differently from me even though it's the same image.
