What do you do on xmas day...

I just play to relieve all my relatives of their pounds. 8-)

I'm looking forward to Xmas this year going back to sunny South Africa.

Get up at around 9ish and try and get my sister to get out of bed so me and my bro can open the presents.
Try out said presents until Xmas lunch is ready.
Get absolutely stuffed on Xmas food on the patio and chill out listening to whatever conversation is taking place.
Maybe stick on a DVD or play a game until it's ready to go to bed.

Can't wait.

We get up, I am usually the last up as I really don't care for the presents and the like!
we have a cooked breakfast
me and my dad will take the dogs out
then we open the presents
watch a few films with the family
have xmas dinner
maybe another film or play a board game

That's our plans, we use to have family over, but in the past 5 years we have lost like all the family members that use to com round, all the others either live in spain/cyprus/kuwait or we don't talk to them.

it's not much, but ti does the job.

Dont you enjoy it though Jigg? Its hard to describe, but I understand now how lucky we are after witnessing some of my friends being much worse off than me, xmas eve is almost as good, with watching a film, having a beer and waiting for the next day.

and living on your own has made it even more exciting for me.

Watch tv, listen to music, ring everyone in the family, getting progressively more drunk as I do it, eat, drink some more...the usual.

Yeah, I enjoy it, its always a gooseberry fool time of year for us, as around december/xmas is the time people start dying! My uncle died on the 23rd and my Nan on the 27th.

Quick rundown of how my xmas goes down...

Christmas Eve - We go round one of my relatives on my Dads side to open presents from that side of the family. Pretty awesome get together, it's always a good laugh.

Christmas Day -
Wake up around 7, with back pain. I sleep on my sisters floor on christmas eve, as my nan has to sleep in my bed. Go downstairs, where my Mum and Dad are normally waiting. Turn on the TV and eat cereal. Stare intently at presents.

Around 8:30/9 my sister awakes/I wake her up. Now the fun begins. We all open presents, thanking each other. After all the presents are unwrapped and the dogs stopped playing with the wrapping paper, we all go our seperate ways to try out presents.

At 1/1:30 we eat Christmas dinner and afterwards try and recover from all the food intake. After washing up. The best bit by far (apart from pigs in blankets, which are almighty and make Christmas) is opening crackers. This is where my Dad really shines, reading out the rubbish jokes in the best way possible. Also, cracker toys are >>> all.

At 3 we go to my cousins house to get presents from them and give them presents. It's always quite fun, even if I can never wait to get home.

We return around 4, where it's back to presents, unless theres a really good christmas film on.

At 7, we watch Doctor Who. This is the only non-negotiable part of the day. When Dr Who is over, so is Christmas day.

Typing this has made me feel really festive and cheered me up loads.

- Wake up around 7.30
- Everyone's downstairs within 15 minutes
- Wait another 10 minutes for Dad to catch up with everyone and make the cups of tea
- Open presents from immediate family and those living abroad who sent them over
- About an hour and a half for breakfast and playing a bit of the game I get
- Then off to the grandparents on my Mum's side around 10ish, wait an hour give or take for everyone to show up then open presents.

Usually we'd spend the day there but this year we have lunch with the other set of Grandparents so we'll had there around 1ish.

- Have lunch
- Watch Wall-E with my cousins and cry at the end 8-)

- Home again, play a bit of the game I get before TV takes over

I love Christmas

-Wake up
-Presents
-Back to sleep
-Eat
-Watch gooseberry fool on tv
-Sleep again
-Watch tv
-Sleep

It's all go in the Kramer household.

Madness reminded me. We always the radio on whilst we unwrap the presents as well, not sure why. Usually Radio 2 8-)

Wake up
Go down stairs and open presents
have bacon, egg, mushroom, sausage, black pudding, beans and bread for brekkie
go down sisters then brothers with me mum n dad
come home and spend the rest of the day like any other waiting for dinner :lol:

That admittedly sounds a bit drab - but it's brilliant really.

Incest, the game the whole family can play. Perfect for christmas!

We always get the whole family round, have dinner and then have a massive drinking session. Christmas is the only time we get pissed together as a family. Good times.
