Never played skyward sword. I considered getting it a few times on U but the thought of having use Wii controllers put me off.

Just entered the Ancient Cistern. Backtracking to the earlier dungeons is a bit strange. Took me a while to find the key :shifty:

The tears bits wouldn't really work if you could fight back. It's being that vulnerable that makes them a challenge. And terrifying when it goes wrong.

Hope you like the Cistern. Its one of my favourite dungeons in any Zelda. strawberry floating great boss fight to.

It remains the only Zelda game I've not completed. I just got sick of the hand holding and stopped playing.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I wish Fi would shut up about probabilities.

It was pretty good. The weird zombie-Moblins, though :dread: the boss reminded me of the weapon-stealing in the Wind Waker  Great fun.

Just found the sandship, but haven't started it yet. The minetrain ride was fun but kinda pointless.

Heading for the final flame now. The flipping robot escort quest :dread: Stop dragging it out, guys.

He can fly. Why can't he avoid the enemies himself? :x

So, I can have up to eight dowsing targets, but I can't look for a crystal ball and someone to plough a field at the same time? What the strawberry float, Fi :x

Surely the whole point of unlocking extra slots is so you can take on more sidequests at once :dread:

Still, finished the Fire Santuary earlier. Was great fun.

Loving the dungeons and hating Fi - that's Skyward Sword alright!

Met the big wind fish earlier, then dropped into the Volcano to try and find the Pumpkin harvesting boffin.

More no-weapon-forced-sneaky sections :x

The robot's a proper bellend.

Still, eventually got the Mogma to the lumpy pumpkin, so now I just need to find the crystal ball. How many gratitude crystals are there around? I'm not sure how many side quests I've done at the moment.

I feel like the game should have finished about three hours ago. So much backtracking to find all the pieces of the song :dread: And then another trial (so what was the importance of learning the song? Surely that was meant to be what showed me the way to the Triforce :slol: ) And now I've got *another* dungeon? Wouldn't be so bad if the sliding puzzle gimmick wasn't so tedious. That fencing boss fight with the robot pirate :x

I'm fighting him again in the Sky Keep to find my way to the triforce. Died the first time through then foolishly clicked continue so it respawns me at the bird statue I'd just saved at but without my fairy :x #rude

Ah I forgot he turns up again, that makes more sense now.

I really like the concept of that dungeon. The execution isn't quite as good, but I thought that was because it's a bit simple and not that puzzling.

Yeah, the moving rooms concept is good but it doesn't quite do much with it.

You definitely don't want the game to have ended three hours ago, you're getting to the best bit

Yup. The bit where you finish it and never have to play it again.

To be fair the dungeons in SS are probably one of the highlights along with the story in general and the music.

Booted it up in Dolphin yesterday actually just to make sure it worked well with my Wii Remote and the higher-resolution really helps the game. It's still got that depth of field effect, but the art style shines through a lot better on more capable hardware.

I might (might) entertain a replay at some point to see if my opinion of the game changes (I don't expect it will).
