What do you want to see from the Nintendo Switch in 2019?

Anything to do with games at all.

I recognise that people like Pedz exist, but I will never understand people not being able to play handheld consoles

I used to. I regularly played handheld, I don't know if it's because tv screens got bigger or if it's due to being hunched over a screen or having it right in my face. I just grew out of it.

Edit: I also have no reason to play handheld.

See if I have the free choice between playing something on TV or playing it on a handheld, I'll pick handheld almost every time. I find it more immersive even, being close to the screen and not being fixed playing in a particular position

I know I'm against the general trend in that respect though.

I know what you mean, I've found similar with the Switch. Handheld with headphones in feels a lot more immersive to me.

Need more original games, rather than ports.
I really want Fire Emblem - Three Houses.
Would love to see a Persona game on the Switch. Preferably a new title.
A new Advance Wars would be awesome.
Nintendo also need some new original IPs too.

Splatoon is doing great and ARMS was a good try

They've announced 2 different Shin Megami Tensei games, nothing concrete on what they are going to be though.

Also Daemon x. I’m sure we’ll keep seeing smaller new IPs too, à la BoxBoy (can’t think of a recent example off the top of my head). For all the gooseberry desserts Nintendo get for rehashing old IP, they’ve never shied away from trying new stuff.

It's for these reasons I think horror works so well on handhelds. REmake is going to kill on there, especially with the smaller screen hiding the faults of the lower res backgrounds

Why not use headphones with the tv or better yet have a 5.1 surround sound system for even more immersion?

I don't use headphones, the immersion of handheld is all about being so close to the screen and holding it I think.

Yeah, that does not get me immersed. I don't get why being close to a screen would be more immersive or holding it in your hand.

Easier to focus with nothing between myself and the screen, the handheld being within my personal space makes it more intimate, actually holding the console makes it feel more directly connected.

I wish I felt the same way. I loved playing games on the Game Biy and Color and Advance and even DS, but, I dunno. The tiny screen, the tiny sizes of the consoles, the regular hand crap. I just lost interest.

Pretty much agree with everything that's already been suggested. I would Love to see a new Rogue Squadron game with local/online co-op and VS modes included. I would pay many monies for that!

At the very least I would love a Rogue Squadron 2 HD remaster. I doubt it will happen with EAs grubby claws firmly latched onto the rights...

I wish they'd just release that Rogue Squadron Trilogy they had running on the Wii before Factor 5 went under, give it a normal control scheme (as I imagine it'll have had motion controls put in for the Wii) and a spruce up graphically and it'd probably sell really well.

EA could make a tidy bit of money if they did that. Criterion did Battlefront II's space combat, so have them fix it up nice, then get them to put Rogue Squadron 4 together in Frostbite.

Add me to the list of preferring to play on handheld rather than TV, playing Switch with Headphones in and just chilling on the sofa or on laying in bed is much better for me than being isolated to the TV area
