What genre's do you generally avoid buying titles from?

Anything to do with games at all.

RTS. I find most of them boring and they require too much time/effort for what I'm willing to put in.

Also fighting games. I buy about one a generation, the last being Soul Calibur II on the Xbox.

RPG's for me too and most FPS's

and 99% of sports games, only Virtua Tennis and the first Top Spin interested me (didn't like VT3 tho for some reason) and tried Pro Evo 2008 but can't be bothered learning all the moves and I love sports.

Add me to the RPG crew (not Pokemon though, I love it) and also horror and RTS.

You all sicken me for not enjoying RTS. It's probably one of the best genres out there. Just the online can be a bit frustrating when you get rushed before you build anything.

Hardly touched a strategy game since Medieval: Total War and I rarely bothered to play the battles anyway.

Not keen on Sports or realistic Racers either.

RTS, realistic racers and FPS I find deadly dull and just can't get into them. On the other hand I love Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, play Outrun 2 every time I visit an arcade and love 2D action-shooty games.

I also don't enjoy being scared so my dislike of horror films translates into my dislike of survival horror games.

RTS, RPG/JRPG, MMO, Driving, most Horror, most Sci-Fi shite (e.g.: Mass Effect, Star Wars, Too Human).

Are you trying to say OutRun 2 is a realistic racer? It really isn't!

I try to avoid games that don't offer other things to do rather than just the main campaign. I want longevity, damn it!

Racing sims. I don't mind arcade-y games like Mario Kart and Burnout, but GT, Forza, PGR... They're all extremely frustrating, they tend to suffer from awful frame rates (PGR2 and Forza 1 did, anyway. PGR3 seemed to suffer too) that make you feel like you're doing 25 miles an hour when you're doing 100Mph. I can't stand them.

Fighting games. It's not that I hate them, I just don't see the appeal. I enjoyed Soul Cailbur II, to an extent and I've enjoyed Super Smash Bros every now and again... But as a genre I tend to avoid it.

Sports games. I don't like them, never have and never will.

Third person shooters. I'm not sure why, but I've always found this genre odd. The aiming is never as good as a FPS and the action is never better than an adventure game. They're always around average and rarely go beyond that "7/10" area of games. Gears of War was (and is) the only game I can stand within this genre (and Crackdown, if you include that in TPS).

No no! I didn't word that very well, I was contrasting how even though I don't like realistic racers, I can have a blast with the arcade variant, just as I seem to like turn based strategy even though I don't like real time.
