What is the shortest amount of time you have given a game?

Oblivion and Fallout 3 got about an hour each but that's only because I couldn't quit during the godawful opening sequences.

There's just something about those games that I can't abide.

That's mental. That's like watching the first 3 minutes of the Godfather 1 and 2 and calling them gooseberry fool.

The thing that puts me off games like that is just the shear size of them.I start playing for a bit and just can't be arsed to loot and level up again for 50+ hours especially if it dosn't engage me enough to begin with.I had it with GT5 the same way I just feel my time could better spent doing practically anthing else than getting bronze/silver...etc. Co-op modes are essential to me giving a campaign a good slog now.

Jesus, I gave it about 3 hours and got so bored I couldn't bring myself to carry on. It was just so... dull.

I didn't get very far into Oblivion either. I just got bored with so many "throw shoes onto roof" missions.

Recently I gave GT5 an ashamedly short amount of time. I had it from Lovefilm and thought if I sent it back I'd be able to get another game in before the end of the free trial. I must have given it 30 minutes, and only got about 2 challenges done in that time due to the terrible loading times and menus.

Im really not good with 'scary' games. I get really immersed end up an emotional wreck.

The last time I made a really determined response to finish one was with Condemned and I got to a point where I literally couldnt handle any more. I later found out I was on the last level, but never went back.

Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces. I did about two minutes of the tutorial and switched it off. The controls were terrible. It was only about a week ago that I spotted the Gamecube pad on the case and gave it another try using that. I really enjoyed it.

uncharted.

i played it up till the submarine on the side of a mountain.

the combat system just ruined it for me, and he's no lara.

resistance 2, 15 minutes tops, the first rocked, co-op full game, second, a half assed mess of co-op.

lego star wars 3DS, 5 mintues, no co-op lol, a star wars game with no co-op, GTFO.

Turning Point, the first bit, where you get down the building and i got my first close up look of the nazis, who are all duke nukem in nazi uniforms, turned it off after that, and the controls were also shocking.

boris

Defo. The respawning is chronic, man.

I think I played 5 minutes of Turok: Evolution before taking it back and swapping it for Pikmin.

It took me all of 10 minutes to realise that Braid just wasn't for me.

Pretty much the same here. Plus if something can project a scary atmosphere using sound, subtle sights and the implication of horror, my mind feels in the blanks. And it turns out that my mind is seriously strawberry floated up.

Its the same reason I generally prefer/get more scared by eastern or increasingly Spanish horror films to American ones.

Played Rock Band 3 for about 20 minutes (4 and a half songs). I found it unforgiveably dull. It's like Guitar Hero at the testing stage before they make it all fancy and exciting.

But if you only played up to the sub, you barely experienced any combat, let alone any of the great puzzle/platform moments.

Never, ever play Amnesia. I gave that about an hour (in short, 10 minute bursts) before I gave up for good. It's horrifying, and nothing had actually happened by the time I turned it off; it's all freaky music, sounds and odd UI effects. It's still there on my desktop, taunting me.

30 minutes, tops.

Ebay.
