The rating system works to make sure that the most respectful riders and drivers are using Uber. Ratings are always reported as averages, and neither riders nor drivers will see the individual rating left for a particular trip.

To see your rating:
1. Open the app and touch the menu
2. Your rating is the number displayed under your name

You need to take up to 10 trips before you'll have a rider rating. If you don't see a rating, it is probably because you haven't taken enough trips.

Apparently I'm 4.54/5 which I blame on my old phone regularly crashing and not letting me rate drivers.

I've only ever used Uber Eats and only then if they've sent me an offer that means the food is cheaper delivered than me going out to get it.

I can't see a rating on that app, so I assume it means I am the perfect customer.

4.87

I don't use it often, probably less than 20 times a year before covid.

I've only got one bad rating I noticed - as I didn't have much of a history then so noticed the big drop. I got the Uber to get me to the start area of the Manchester Half Marathon as I didn't want to risk public transport and miss my start time. Of course there were road closures, which he didn't know about, and we needed to be diverted to get to where I wanted to go. Bastard marked me down for that.

4.97, which is just close enough to 5 that it will haunt me forever

So thanks for that

4.4, which is surprisingly high considering I only ever get an Uber when I'm absolutely steaming drunk on the way home from a night out.

4.88.

Similar to TNAG I remember the journey where my score took a dive - was with my best woman friend and we were ripping the piss out of each other, as you do. Think he clearly thought I was overstepping the line at points.

big yikes

Bet that's the lowest in the thread.

Although actually MM's is quite low too. Normally it's 4.8+ I reckon...

4.67.

Have hardly used it the last 12 months, partly because of so few opportunities to go out and be too drunk and too lazy to be arsed with the Night Tube but also because I discovered ZipCar which is quite handy if you want to drive to the destination instead of be driven there.

I was mostly using Uber during a period a few years ago where my back pain was so bad I had to walk with a cane. Maybe London Uber drivers just don't like the disabled?

I've changed phone numbers and can't seem to find a way to log into my account on my new phone without having a code sent to my old phone number

I'm an adult who owns a car. I don't have an Uber rating.

I suspect many people who use Uber are adults who own a car but are sometimes too drunk to drive or need to get to an airport or other reasons where you don't want to take your car.

I have never used one. Taxis here are so absurdly cheap that there's no need to (as I understand the convenience is cost related).
