Hi All, particularly the more technical types...

I just sent an e-mail to my partner with an attachement - a .pdf, just about 200Kb

I got the following back in my mailbox about 2 seconds later:


Who on earth is this guy, and why on earth is he listed as a recipient?
(Clue, it is not my partner).
Have I been violated?

There was a details.txt file attached if this helps:

I think I didn't explain very clearly. This stevewebb2@btinternet.com is nothing to do with me. I've never heard of him.

Why would he get a copy of an e-mail I sent to someone else - the only reason I know is because on the mailbox full indication.

It seems to have stopped happening now so either this mystery interceptor of my e-mails has emptied his folder or bt have found a glitch.

Would just like to have an idea of why this might happen...

One of those pages on Google lists him as a broadband engineer? Maybe contact BT and ask why this is happening?

But weirdest of all, the thing is capturing still images from video feeds and emailing them to an address that appears to be hosted in China.

Turns out it was a glitch on BT's end and has been resolved now (as I already saw).

The address stevewebb2@btinternet.com is a bt mail server address.
