Fine thanks. We were together for 3 years but are best friends now so while there are moments of obvious awkwardness and occasionally upset, for the majority of the time it is all good.

Plus I get to sponge off his xbox and he gets someone to make him cups of tea. Everybody wins.

I think that's more a reflection on relative levels of desperation than anything else. I fortunately found someone who was up for sex and a laugh without all that relationship bollocks so hurrah!

I'm skeptical of any woman who wants that. It's a male trait, there's always a catch involved with you people ;) Of course, I'm just jealous because I could really go for some no strings action right now and don't actually know many females at all let alone who would be up for a bit of the old hanky panky

Friends with benefits (strawberry float Buddies) are just people you don't like enough to be in a relationship with.

It's fine if you both feel that way, but a lot of the time that's not the case.

There's just something different about it. I've always found it more fun in a way - there's nothing serious to worry about, no need to get bogged down in detail and mundane crap, no expectation or responsibility beyond that which normally goes with friends. It's just a laugh.

But yeah there are often problems when both don't think the same. I got too close to someone once and I know now that you have to be really careful otherwise bad things happen :(

NOT LOOKING FOR MEANINGLESS SEX, IT CAN BE FOUND ANYWHERE AND I PREFARE MY BICYCLE,

EDIT: some of the "adverts" on that site are not NSFW. I just saw a black man's willy! I wasn't too impressed; so much for racial stereotypes.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

How else would two geeks meet though? An Otaku convention?

I can imagine it now, facepalming during a marathon session of Boggle underneath a lifesize foam statue of a Z-Gock Gundam.

Then returning home and having sex

Someone who is smart, funny and gets my, sometimes, strange sense of humour. She has to either accept or embrace my geekiness without trying to change me and she has to be easy to talk to.
I also like understated confidence rather than an "I'm all that" kind of attitude. These all describe the girl at work I'm attracted to. Recently the women who I've been attracted to are either older or younger than me, not sure if that's just due to circumstances or what.

That really does narrow down your options.

Ass. Ass and tits, if you have that then you're shaggable, unless you have some kind of deformation or something.

No, what's narrowing my options is not being able to find a woman who is attracted to me. Or being able to approach someone who I am attracted to.

Less flippantly, how is it narrowing my options? It's not like I'm cradle robbing or granny grabbing, and I'm not saying I'll never be attracted to someone my age. Circumstances as they are means I rarely meet women my age these days. I think the only way I could widen my options even more is if I turned bi ;)

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

I was (jokingly) commenting on the fact that every other girl in existence is going to either be younger or older than you.
