Robocop, think I must of been 5 or 6. Me and cousin used to watch it over and over and laugh our ass off when the main bad guy who's name escapes me throws the guy out of the truck and says "can you fly bobby?"

I'm pretty sure it was Total Recall, which would have been when I was in year six in primary school. I thought it was awesome, which it is, although I remember the "interesting" take on the effects of explosive decompression freaking me out.

I think it was Revenge of the Ninja.

I was about 10 at the time, maybe 11.

Predator.

My mum watched it the night before to see if I would be allowed to watch it (about 12 or 12 I was)

She decided that I could from about 1/2 way through (just after the woman's run off and one of the soldier chases her and is killed by Predator).

So she spends ages talking me through the story up to that point, while explaining that it was too violent for me, but she thinks I could watch the rest with supervisison - but I had to tell her if it got too much, and she may skip some bits.

So she puts the tape in she recorded last night and had paused at the right spot.

Unfortunately VHSes where gooseberry fool and her pausing hadn't worked, so the first thing on screen was a little earlier than expected - and that poor soldier got murderised brutally as she pressed play  :fp:  :fp:

My dad did a similar thing with Predator, he recorded the whole thing then taped over the gory/sweary bits with static before letting me and my brother watch it, it worked quite well except for the bit where you see the skinned marines hanging in that tree.

I grew up in the UAE where they don't (or didn't) honour the the ratings on films at the cinema, so I watched loads of films I shouldn't have been able to see in the cinema. I remember seeing Copy Cat when I was about 9 but I sae loads of others.

I was such a cool kid. 8-)

It'll either have been Robocop or Nico (starring Steven Segal), but I'm not sure if Nico was an 18 or not :shifty:

Great childhood memories 8-)

I think it was Commando. My mate who lived next door had it on VHS and I can remember going around there to watch it. We used to watch a lot of his parents films though (kennethwilliams.jpg) so it might have been something else, but Commando is the one that sticks in my mind.

I'd say it was either Die Hard, Predator or Pulp Fiction. All watched around the same period of time when I was about seven.

And so the jigsaw is complete.

Terminator 2 when I was 12, watched on the sly over a week. Loved it.

My parents never vetted anything I watched. As long as there were no 'dirty' bits, it was carte blanche on whatever we wanted to watch.

I stupidly let my two lads watch (8, 10) Ted, without vetting it first. I didn't think it was as 'dirty' as it actually was  It's pretty near the knuckle tbh.
