Nothing but a good memory here, can't speak for everyone though. In fact I remember clearly the first few 18 rated films I watched. When I was about 9 my dad let me watch Robocop for the first time and that same year he let me watch The Evil Dead which was still banned at the time. No making it up necessary!

I think it was probably Scream, I was probably like 8 or 9. Not really that scary. In fact even then I remember thinking it was quite cool how it all worked out.

The Godfather, I think. But Predator kicked me off on the road to desensitisation.

I think it was Alien when I was about 7/8. I used to pester my dad to tell me about it all the time, so one night it was on they recorded it and I watched it on a sunday afternoon. I don't remember it being scary, but it started my life-long love of the franchise.

Classics such as Predator, Terminator, Die Hard and Commando weren't far behind and still remain some of my favourite movies to this day.

I still remember when T2 got its UK TV debut being so excited to see it. :D

I remember Die Hard because of my older brothers. They were *really* excited after my dad ordered it from some mail order video joint and then went bananas all over again after it had arrived and they'd torn a bit of the cardboard box to reveal the Die Hard VHS cassette (they didn't dare fully open it or dad would have been pissed off). Personally, I had no idea what a Bruce Willis or Die Hard was and so all the excitement was lost on me. And then I saw the film.

Terminator (TV), Alien (video) and a Bruce Lee film (pirated video) I can recall too but less clearly.

Mine was either Rambo First Blood or Die Hard (was that an 18?)

Think it was the South Park movie. Can't remember how old I was, pretty young though.

Robocop I think. The scene early on where he gets strawberry floated up was pretty shocking to my young mind, must have been around 7 or 8.

That.

I don't pay much attention to age ratings.

Child's play is actually a 15. But still bloody scary for a 8 year old boy. Never thought that horror films would be 15 at the time. Bastards.

And Child's Play 3 was 18 (and banned) and that wasn't very scary.

gooseberry fool, so it is. Didn't think to check the DVD case before I posted that :fp: Just kind of assumed that with the general content of the film it would be an 18. No idea then.

Robocop, think I must of been 5 or 6. Me and cousin used to watch it over and over and laugh our ass off when the main bad guy who's name escapes me throws the guy out of the truck and says "can you fly bobby?"
