When I was about 7/8 my mum worked nights so my dad would let me watch any of his films while she wasn't there.

Silence of the Lambs was one of the first ones I saw, plus all of the Arnie and Bruce Lee films. The one that gave me nightmares though was Wes Craven's Shocker.

I don't know the name of it, but it was this horrible horror movie about monsters that lived in underground tunnels on some barren wasteland planet. I watched it round my friends house, and it scared the hell out of me. Had nightmares for ages after that. :-(

I was 7 or 8 years old and my dad bought yet another second-hand betamax video player that came with a big box of movies. A lot of them were unlabelled so my dad didn't have time to vet what was in the box before me and my friends got our grubby hands on them. The first movie we picked out of the box and my first 18 certificate film turned out to be Halloween. It didn't end well and psychologically scarred me for at least a couple of years.

The reason my dad bought a lot of betamax recorders was because if you copied rented films from VHS to betamax, it removed any kind of macrovision copy protection :shifty:

Betamax :datass:

Predator, I think. Think I saw bits of Terminator, but not all the way through.

Everyone at school made such a big deal about seeing 18 rated films. :fp:

Watched it with a group of mates while on holiday, the lads giving it the bigun, the lasses screaming.

It was terminator 2 at a friend's sleepover party when I was about 7 or 8. The "peeling the flesh off the arm" scene freaked me out.

I don't know if it's the first, but I have a vague recollection of my sister letting me watch Pulp Fiction with her when I was young. I probably didn't understand a thing that happened.

American Werewolf in London at the age of 4 (thanks big brother). It took me 12 years before I could watch another werewolf movie.

Probably alien or pulp fiction. Not gunna lie jaws and Jurassic park were scarier.

Terminator 2 isn't a 18 film at release. The first was, but got reclassified as a 15.

My first 18 film was probably Alien. I was an innocent 6 years old, watching The Smurfs cartoon that my daddy recorded on the VHS. At the end of the Smurfs, it turns out there's some people sitting round having dinner. Which was nice. Then one of the man start to having a fit.

People was screaming. Holding him down on to the table. I was scared.

Then BOOM.

My parents spend a fortune to have the carpet cleaned after I shitted myself. My daddy was in the dog house for a while.

The first 18 rated film I watched in the cinema was Alien 3. I was around 10-11 years old when it was released and being such a fan of the first 2 movies at that age my Aunt had to sneak me in to see it. Purchased tickets for some other movie and walked in to Alien 3 (Showcase cinema in Liverpool)
