After watching Fast and Furious last night has got me into the 'ol street racing vibe!

Why I'm asking for PSP in particular is I normally hang up the controller for my console during the summer, but the PSP gets a little more airtime (i.e. sit outside and play) Anyway, enough blathering on, what's the best driving game for PSP? 8-)

I would say Burnout Legends, Ridge Racer or maybe Outrun.
If you feel a bit more adventurous try the Wipeout games.

OutRun 2006 Coast to Coast, Ridge Racers and Burnout Dominator.

But WipEout Pulse and Pure are the best racing games.

Ridge Racer 2.

It has all the stuff from the first PSP outing, plus a bit more. The definitive version.

Didn't even know that was out for PSP? I find Gran Turismo a bit too stuffy, I like a bit of arcade style racing like NFS or Burnout.

I tried WipeOut, wasn't very good at it. Couldn't get used to the airbrakes whilst cornering. Kept hitting the walls.

Midnight Club Los Angeles is excellent.

Looks amazing for a handheld, too.

I had a lot of fun with Burnout Legends, especially the crash mode. Never played Dominator so not sure whether its an improvement. Out Run was pretty good too.

Are there any other games where you have Police pursuits, other than NFS: Most wanted? I've heard it isn't very good?

Wipeout Pure by a the longest country mile. It's sensational.

Burnout Legends is the only racer I have played on the PSP. It is probably my most played game tbh.

TOCA Race Driver is a very good game
But my personal favourite is NASCAR, takes all that was great with the early Geoff Crammond Grand Prix games, puts a NASCAR shell on the top, a very indepth career mode and some very realistic driving.
You have to like oval racing, but it I got it 3 years ago and still play it to this day.

If it counts then Wipeout Pure is easily the best.

Personally I didn't get into Pulse in the same way, but that is also good.

From a car perspective I'd say Ridge Racer (2)...personally wouldn't bother with any 'serious' racing game on PSP.

I know you asked specifically for PSP, but if you wanted to know about handhelds in general and just assumed that the DS didn't have anything worth thinking about then you'd be wrong, Trackmania on DS is really, really good.

What's, is it, Midnight Club Dubs? (or something like that) What's that supposed to be like?

Oh and sorry, I should have put in the first post I've played:

Wipeout Pure
Ridge Racer
Burnout Legends and Dominator
