I choose fighting. But my other two favourite genres are racers and JRPGs.

Platformers or adventure titles. Then again, the definitions of both are evolving all of the time.

They both begin with A.

I play play FPS/Action games the most, but I don't really have a favourite genre. Racing games are easily my least favourite, particularly sim racers.

I was wondering the same thing

If there was one option for Platformers, Adventure Games, RPGs and all games that mix elements from those three genres, I'd vote for that.

I was just thinking games like Silent Hill, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Tomb Raider are like arcade adventure type games. We rarely get arcade games on console anymore, I couldn't really think of any to put as a single genre?!

See, there's a point there. Different genres of games are not so easily defined anymore. Games these days 'tend to throw different parts together. FPS with RPG elements (Fallout3 as Rubix pointed out)

Ah, so action-adventure stuff? When I see adventure I think Broken Sword and the like, y'see.

Anyway, to answer the question I like most games, really. Bit of this bit of that. But if I had to choose: adventure (Broken Sword kind), action-adventure and FPSs would probably head up the list. I like sports too, and rhyth... ah strawberry float, I can't believe I've done this.

That genre is Action-Adventure, nothing to do with arcade. It also covers a ridiculous amount of games.

I'll vouch for platformers. I keep going back to those games long after completion, which I don't do as much with other genres.
