There should be no more deaths tonight. I'll let you know when the night phase is completely over.

The night phase is over. As always, if I missed something, let me know.

It's now the weekend, so I'm going to say Acting Commander by 2ish, please. (I'm feeling a bit better now, so hopefully I won't be ill again tomorrow, which means a return to timings being a bit stricter.)

Well we're strawberry floated. Probably the worst game ever played from a villager perspective. Ariel can you update the player list please?

Sigma squad is almost completely decimated, if that flare goes off it's a safe bet there's another parasite in there.

But who was shot? And why?

The victim was...

Lambda_Iron, a BIOLOGIST.

Gamma_Pancake, a SNIPER.

I can't make sense of this. It would seem Pancake killed Iron. But from what I can tell the concensus was that Iron was human, so it would seem Pancake wanting to kill him would make pancake a wolf, but it looks like pancake isn't. Maybe pancake worked on a hunch, and got it wrong? Also it seems being acting commander doesn't make you immune from a bullet to the brain. Who'da thought it.

Well we need to decide on an AC and platform today. Anyone have any ideas?

Tbh, my own hunches havent evolved beyond the quiet players. Luke, Growth, Grey, Edd, Daz?

It seems like the wolves have had a lot of success and these guys have been quiet whilst avoiding essentially any suspicion. Luke had a bit of heat early on, but has quietened down since then. Is it possible that it may be something as obvious as the quiet game play holding out?

I would like to stand for AC. I have been seered as a safe role and I'm in direct contact with at least one Biologist.

I will be putting up someone for a pool dunking who has shown signs of infection.

Have we even worked out if putting infected in the pool even does anything. Why wouldn't we just drone strike suspected infected people. We're losing people every single day, we're going to run out of time.

The only way out now is to complete your mission and send up coded flares for aerial extraction.

So I guess this means we're basically strawberry floated unless we've got someone who can kill the parasites, but I don't know if the pool does that. I'm cold blooded and I don't even know what it means.

The pool has to kill parasites - otherwise we’re dependent on vigis. That can’t be right.

Iron said Orange was showing signs of infection right? And unlike Mog he hadn't gained hot-blooded status. So maybe Mog was an infected without knowing it (sort of just there to push up wolf numbers without actually being in on it), while Orange may be a "true" infected and we'll see something more conclusive of we dunk him.

Yeah, the pool has to kill wolves. I dont think Karl would engineer a game where it was impossible to kill without a vigi.

If I were a vigilante I'd shoot myself just to find out if I'm infected without even knowing it.

We also have the hint from the leaked cult PM that Ariel posted to punish Hype.
Drone_Ariel wrote:Delta_Hype has repeatedly revealed a secret. He elected to be punished with Truth. I shall now reveal more secrets.

Yes, I know, but it's looking bad for him, and in the event I'm now nuked and am outed as a cultist it may put a seed of doubt into killing him

Delta_Hype is a HUMAN who is a member of a CULT.

The fact that they say they want Mog to live means they thought dunking him would kill him - obviously it didn't, but clearly they believed the pool would kill the infected and I'm willing to bet as the cult they'd been given slightly more information about how the pools work.

That's assuming the cult knew anything about anything at all. They might've just been trying to get someone killed as they were probably not affiliated with anyone and usually cults in games win if they outnumber everyone else.

OH gooseberry fool I JUST HAD A BRAINWAVE
Okay, so yesterday after I put myself forward to run as AC on a platform of dunking Mog, I was contacted by two seer circles. One had a biologist who said Mog had come back as infected. The other was the circle involving Gamma_Dan, Mog, and an unknown lieutenant (presumably Dan managed to save him using his patrol last night). Dan was the one who contacted me, and after I told him that the other circle had confirmed Mog as infected he rightly predicted that their circle would be targeted for kills.
Now, the problem here is that Mog didn't appear to be infected on his death, but the wolves somehow still knew the identity of the people in the circle (I'm guessing Pancake might have been a part of it too, but Dan never mentioned having a sniper among them). My theory is that on jumping into the maelstrom and going hot-blooded, the wolves gained access to his account to be able to read PMs and such, gaining knowledge of the circle. In-game this might be explained by the infected having a hivemind or something. So basically, Mog wasn't a true wolf, he was just an unwitting mole.
