You marchDelta_Orangeto the pool. He looks uncomfortable as he approaches, and his face contorts with pain as he nears the water's edge. He begins to struggle, and has to be forcibly held in...
At which point he begins screaming and scratching and clawing, before suddenly lying limp. A final convulsion expels yellow blood from his mouth. He was a Parasite.
So that confirms it - the pool is our new kill method. Next line of action should be to look at people who've been hesitant to use the pool; it's not concrete evidence but it's enough to start building up a new list of suspects. We also need any remaining biologists to pass on their findings to the rest of the group so we know who else to target.
Nice one. So it seems us putting someone in and them turning cold is basically the same as killing an innocent villager? What about mogg surviving the dunk, but then being killed?
Cold status still seems unclear - my earlier theory was that the cult could only target coldbloods, hence why Mario ended up getting chucked into the maelstrom. It definitely doesn't seem to kill normal humans though as Qikz is still alive and kicking (assuming he is a normal human, that is). As for Mog I had a theory on the other page:
Gamma_Rik wrote: Okay, so yesterday after I put myself forward to run as AC on a platform of dunking Mog, I was contacted by two seer circles. One had a biologist who said Mog had come back as infected. The other was the circle involving Gamma_Dan, Mog, and an unknown lieutenant (presumably Dan managed to save him using his patrol last night). Dan was the one who contacted me, and after I told him that the other circle had confirmed Mog as infected he rightly predicted that their circle would be targeted for kills. Now, the problem here is that Mog didn't appear to be infected on his death, but the wolves somehow still knew the identity of the people in the circle (I'm guessing Pancake might have been a part of it too, but Dan never mentioned having a sniper among them). My theory is that on jumping into the maelstrom and going hot-blooded, the wolves gained access to his account to be able to read PMs and such, gaining knowledge of the circle. In-game this might be explained by the infected having a hivemind or something. So basically, Mog wasn't a true wolf, he was just an unwitting mole.
Although that is mostly moot now since we don't have any more hotbloods (that we know of).
As well as anti-poolers we should look into the quiet ones - Lambda_Edd in particular has only made one post, but last login was in the early hours of this morning so he's clearly lurking, not just forgetting to play. Maybe a parasite lying low, maybe nothing but worth bearing in mind.
The shot is still something of a mystery - all evidence points to it being Pancake, but he didn't flip as infected. Maybe there's a target swapping role in play somewhere?
I imagine Spy was linked to Sat's counterintelligence officer role - probably had to survive and avoid being found out by him. I don't think there'd be two, seems like more of an individual third-party role.
