Looking to get a new gaming headset for use on my PS4. Interested to know what people on here recommend?

Ideally I want something in the £50 price bracket.

I use regular headphones almost every time I play the PS4, but they're just standard Sennheiser PX-100 II headphones without a mic. I want something that sounds good but has the mic functionality.

I've tried and returned the PS4 Gold Headset, as personally I didn't like how they felt on my head and didn't rate the sound that much at all in comparison to my Senn's.

Interested to know what you lot use?

Do you need it to be wireless? I have a USB Razer Kraken Chroma that I'm looking to upgrade, and I'd let it go for about £35

No don't need it to be wireless but ideally not USB either. Preferably one that plugs into the PS4 controller - nice and simple

I see Astro have released a new budget headset for £50 - the A10. They look a bit ugly and bulky but seem to be getting favourable reviews for the price.

I use the Soundmagic E10's in ears for my PSVR and they're pretty great.
£30 from amazon.
Normal headphone socket so just whack them into the pad.

I use the Gold (2.0) headset when playing on my PS4. I had never used a headset for gaming before and I really like it... shame that it didn't suit your tastes, Adam!

I wish I liked them more than I did, as they integrate so well with the PS4. But personally wasn't a fan of their design, how they sat on my head or the sound.

But that's just me, I can see why for many PS4 owners it's the best choice.

I'm thinking the Astro 10's might be the ones, although the cups do look massive.

I've already got the PS 2.0 on my PS4 (had for 2 yrs or more) and ordered a 2nd pair just earlier today for my 2nd PS4 as I'm fed up of having to run up and downstairs to get them and the USB stick
