My point is, I take the shower head off the wall every time. I have to raise the thing right to the top so as to be able to get my head under it. So I then have to take it off to properly wash my legs and feet.

Why not just set it up so that the shower head is at a height where you can get your head under it?

I lean back and forward depending on where I need the water to run, so I still get suitably scrubbed all over.

I do. The shower head is high enough for me to stand up straight with the water on my face. But then I have to take the thing off the wall to wash the lower parts of me.

I always take the shower head off the wall. How else do you wash that bit between your balls and your bumhole to make sure the soaps all rinsed off?
