I was going to put up a poll, but the possibilities are endless tbh. Also this could go in the music thread, but it'd get lost so quickly!

Anyway I'm going to;

Hit The Deck - Nottingham - Sunday 22nd April
Groezrock - Belgium - 28th-29th April
Rock Am Ring - Nürburgring - 1st-3rd June
Download Festival - Derby - 8th-10th June

None this year as most the rock/metal festivals in the country don't have the greatest line-ups ever.

In the absence of Glasto, this year I'm going to Bestival. The second headliner is being announced Wednesday ^___^

Alot of lineups for the big festivals look a bit gooseberry fool this year tbh.

While it's fun to get drunk and stoned in a field with your mates for a few days, it can be done a lot cheaper than at a festival.
I've found I only go to see about 4 or 5 bands during festivals, and I would rather pay a little bit more and go on a cheap holiday with mates than a festival.
That being said, I have had fun at them, just ended up spending too much for what it was.
Anyway, I won't be doing anything other than revising for finals this summer.
Great.

Latitude. More for a good time with mates than for the festival itself, which is a bit meh.

Slam Dunk is looking pretty good, tempted to try and get another day off work for it!

Yeah I was going to do Slam Dunk due to it being down the road but I think Slam Dunk looks alot better for a similar price.

Might go to Infest if I have the cash. Line-up looks a bit naff for me though...

I have. There's only about 10 bands I'd particularly want to see, a fair few of which clash and I've seen before. A lot of the bands there aren't really my kind of think when it comes to rock- a lot of hardcore and screamo and such and a lot less in the way of Metal, really. (That's not me trying to be all "HARDCORE IS NOT TEH EPIC METULZ!" by the way- I just define Metal and Hardcore as two different spectrums of music.)

I'm a bit disappointed with line ups this year. Aside V Festival which is sold out. I'd love to see the Stone Roses. Looking at Bestival now for New Order and Sigur Ros. To be fair, IOW festival a couple of years back had loads I wanted to see, but I was shopping/fun fair/beach/drinking in 'spoons at 9am to see most of them. So line ups aren't really that important.

Had tickets for Bestival last year but happened to be moving house that weekend so I'm craving my fix of camping based booze ups. IOW is a lovely place too and makes for a good festival. Less emo teens than you get at Reading, no shitty metal screamo bands you get at Download and no dealing with posh kids and hipsters who actually managed to get Glasto tickets. Win win!
