Like most of the world you can just stop watching the MCU after Avengers Endgame. No real need to continue.

GOTG3 and both Spider-Man films are well worth watching post Endgame even if you're only a casual fan.

I'd say the Loki and Hawkeye TV shows too if you enjoyed Phases 1 to 3.

Overall quality has definitely had a wobble post Endgame but I still think there's plenty of content that is worth watching:

Spider-Man Far From Home
Shang Chi
Spider-Man No Way Home
Doctor Strange 2
Wakanda Forever
GOTG3
The Marvels

And that's just the movies - there's good stuff in the TV shows as well (along with some utter dross... :dread: )

iQ84 - when you start to think 'is this story actually going anywhere' stop reading.

I still have no idea how this won so many plaudits. Not for me.

Contender for worst post of the year.

I will die on this hill. I tried the game at least 6 times. After taking off and drifting aimlessly through space I managed to lose my ship on some planet that looked interesting but had weird black tentacles coming out of its ocean. Couldn’t get back in. Started again and thought I’d try a different planet and it wasn’t much better. I gave it an honest go and it wasn’t for me.

There may be some point to it that I missed but honestly I thought it was utter trash. I got more enjoyment out of Last Battle. At least that was meme worthy. What’s weird is I never bought it either. It just showed up on my Xbox purchase list one day.

Second worst post of the year.

Sell it to me. I’m serious. A forum is a place to be challenged as much as it is about expression. 25 years ago I thought FFVIII was the worst in the series. I since gave it another chance and would actually say now it’s my favourite of the PS1 trilogy. I’d also say that whilst it’s a brilliant game VII is in fact the least best. And that used to be in my top 10, easy.

I started and tried to play it about 4 times, and gave up. Half the problem was trying to control the ship and just not really understanding what to do. Then as a final role of the dice I went back and took my time with it. Did the tutorials at the start, actually taking it in this time. Went to the moon it specifically tells you to at the start rather than going off and just crashing on some random planet. Pulled at the threads it gave as starting hints, gradually became familiar with the way the world works, how one thing on one planet can relate to another. Once it clicked I couldn't put it down. Loved the mystery of it, having a real life notepad beside me, doing drawings in it, making crude symbol maps, and then by the time I'd finished it I'd rate it as one of the best games I've played.

Got the DLC to play at some point which is supposed to be as long as the main game, and I can't wait to experience it.

I also put the OST on every now and again and get a warm cosy feeling from it

Edit: re-reading your post, it sounds like you might bit have even played long enough to see one of the core game mechanics. No spoilers, but you'll know it when you do.

In the future I may well give it another go.

I suppose my main guidance would be that if the game is flat out telling you to go somewhere early on, make sure you do it.

Game of Thrones
-End of Season 4 if you want untarnished memories of some of the best TV ever made.
-End of Season 6 if you want to watch as many of the plot threads still largely be on the rails but with some subtle issues raising their head
-S8E3 if you simply want to watch as much as you can without it being irrevocably ruined.

Any further and you'll be so ruined you'll never revisit the show ever again.

Mass Effect Series

Literally just don't get on the Citadel at the end of ME3. As soon as you see Marauder Shields just turn off the console and make up whatever ending you want. It will be better.

X Files

Mytharc episodes - Season 4
Monster of the Week - Season 8

Harry Potter (books)

Save yourself some time and bail out when you reach the end of the following sentence:

"Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much."
