X-Files. If I'm being objectively ruthless, I'd say stop at the end of S7.

But I'm an X-Files fanboy and love all the seasons, even the later ones without Mulder/Scully so I'd still watch all of them. 8-)

Castle should have stopped at season 6, as much as i love that show, it went on for two seasons to many. Though season 7 is okay, not great but okay.

Pretty much the same as Drummy with Lost, but I'd suggest watching all 1-5, then after the first episode of 6 skip straight to the last episode.

Keen to squeeze a book in, although relatively unknown: The Bone Clocks. Read the first two thirds, then pretend the final one doesn't exist outside your imagination.

Strongly agree with the first season only of Heroes. How dreadful it became, and how quickly...

Can't think of a game. I find them easier to drop early than books, films or TV programmes, so I've probably done it several times.

Edit - Forgot to do a film. It's very rare for me to do this, but the last one I abandoned after about an hour was Everything Everywhere All At Once :slol:.

with Russle T Ego in charge? i doubt it

with the series Once Upon a Time don't bother with series 7. it has some nice moments but it's not worth it

non disney fans should stop watching sooner but I'm not sure where

Tricky. Somethings have ongoing narratives so whilst you might stop before they get terrible, you'll be left with plot threads (e.g. Stop Game of Thrones at the end of Season 6 to avoid the decline)

Much easier with procedurals etc which only have limited ongoing narrative to stop and avoid the decline. Someone mentioned Castle, I'd pick that you should stop House at the end of S4.

Oh god yeah, a really pointless final season.

Deadwood - Season 1 was alright, but 2 and 3 were absolute dump.

Grey's Anatomy - It was great up to around season 12-13, but then slowly went downhill. Season 17 (the covid one) was surprisingly great, but 16 & 18 in particular were utter bollocks and the show had become a shadow of it's former self.

Westworld - Abandoned this one after season 3, but tbh, seasons 1 and 2 weren't that great either.

Wtf vermi series 1 of westworld was amazing! I too gave up at the end of 3 though.

Sex education, just watch 1-3 and pretend series 4 doesn't exist.

The Witcher TV show - best just to watch season 1. Although S2 wasn't terrible I guess.

S3 needs to be killed with fire and all traces removed from the planet.

I appreciate it's a good game but I just really didn't get on with HL2, I tried to enjoy it but a) I've always struggled with FPSs (motion sickness mainly but also getting disotiented by the constant camera movement) b) I don't handle horror settings very well.

See Deus Ex and Metroid Prime also.
