It's that time of the year again, time to buy some new footy boots. But which ones? I'm choosing between three pairs...

The new Adidas Predator

Puma King Pro

Asics Lethal DS

I've gone for the Pumas and the Adidas because they are firm childhood favourites. I had the first generation Predator as a lad and my Puma Kings were one of the best boots I had. I always buy Asics running shoes so I thought their boots might be good too.

New suggestions welcome.

Always thought Preds were a bit overated. Umbro was my choice when I was playing for the county

It's got to be the Preds, I don't know why I even made this topic. Stevie G wears them!

Black boots > any other colour.

I usually always go for Adidas kaisers, nice and simple and not at all flashy

Get the Puma pair. Tony Yeboah used them.

Preds of course. If a centre-half like me can score from 20 yards out with them, imagine what someone who's decent on the ball can do.

Puma Kings, nothing flashy but they last for a while.

Did you see those boots on Soccer AM yesterday? Chris Kamara was testing them out, can't remember the brand, but they protected your foot at the top with this cover that was designed to have total control over the ball (not heard that one before)... but they just looked stupid, can't imagine a premiership footballer using them.

What I don't get is that when Predator's first game out the gimmick was that the raised block type things were allegedly what made the difference. They dont have them anymore and look like any other boot.

Those Asics are nice. Unique. Most people get Adidas or Nike.

Nike Tiempo.

Absolutely world class boots that are really understated. Just simple black with the classic Nike tick, they are so good.

But whatever boots you get, don't get the micky mouse plasticy ones at like £25-50. Boots normally have three versions to them, always get the most expensive one as they are made out of the leather and make a huge difference.

Also, Predators are awesome as well.

It's got to be the Dreds. I've always liked Adidas boots, the Preds in particular always do the job for me.

I'd get the Adidas F50s, or their current equivalent, or the Nike Vapours. They're so light and look awesome.
