That’s a nice haul! Think you can magnetise them. However I remember there was a video on how to use an ork truck kit and make every weapon platform from one truck and one gun kit. Looked relatively simple too.

Found it;

Started working on Dante last night.
Still lots to do (please ignore the red shoulder and the blood drops they are place holders :lol: ), but kinda struggling with getting enough contrast on the white areas without resorting to a brown or black wash.

I'm thinking a black wash around the outside of the white feathers, a bit like a panel liner wash?

EDIT - Just seen how scrappy the feathery areas look actually.
Might just strip the whole model and start again before I cake it in too much paint.

Done a wee bit more to Dante.
Falsey recommended a blueish wash like Drakenhof night shade and yeah it's helped massively.

Still a bit to do though, tidy up the red shoulder and the weapons, purity seals and base.

And I've been painting my Kill Rig in between coats on Dante, my two sons really wanted me to paint the Ork guns as though they were NERF guns and I actually found it really funny so we've gone with that :lol:

So I've spent the last few nights redoing my mancave/office. After moving in I quickly setup my PC and a random desk just so I could get back to working from home without issue.

Now I've got a dedicated Office Space another area for Hobby Area (with another PC to start doing painting videos again) and then loads of storage around the other walls.

Means for the first time since October I've finally picked up hobby tools and paintbrushes and made a start on my Emperors Children for our club Heresy Campaign. Felt good to finally do some hobbying again, definitely missed out on it in recent months.

Next batch is my new Predator I got in Secret Santa from Lewis as well as some new assault marines

Finished my first batch of Emperors Children, just waiting on the fancy bases to arrive which hopefully should be this week with any luck;

I love the hover bike models in general, but they're all fantastic.

Those Kroot models are great. Proper Abe's odyssey vibes (at least to me!)

I keep finding myself looking at the new kroot models and really loving them, but these in particular are great.
I don't think I've seen a miniature really convey the weight and flow of motion as well as these do.
You can really feel these things barreling towards you!

Super tempted to do an all kroot army :lol:

Sorry to pull you into the Spot Light Yoshimi, but I saw this post in the pickup thread from last year:

Yoshimi wrote:I'd had the urge to get into 40k for a while, then discovered Kill Team which seemed perfect for me - small squads, skirmish battles. I got the Into the Dark terrain (no minis) for a good price last month, and have been building/painting an Intercessor squad (I'll post a pic in the tabletop gaming thread).

The Kasrkin just arrived today. Looking forward to building and painting those guys.

How did you get on with these? Where are the photos?

Hey. No problem. I haven't been painting as much as I should have, and I'm struggling to take photos of my mini's that I'm happy with (I swear they look better in person!), but here's a few pics.

I've finally decided on a paint scheme for my Votann models.

I was flipping and flopping between the orange of the Trans Hyperion Alliance, and a custom yellow and grey design.

Before settling on... SYNTHWAVE :datass:

Inspired by this person's models I saw on Facebook the other day which look amazing

Going to try a few demo models first on some mini of the month throwaways, but something like this, but perhaps a little less fluorescent, and more grounded like the photos above.

In fact this guy's entire YouTube channel is amazing for this stuff
