Eisenhorn was one of the coolest Inquisitor models and its a shame it loses a bit in 28mm

I was just thinking how much he looks like a sci-fi James Mattis, or even Mike Pence.

Eisenhorn looks like an Inquisitorial Manfred von Karma...

Some infos:
Andy Hoare mentioned that he wants to show that the different settings (Hive Secundus, Hive Mortis, The Sump Sea, Eye of Selene) will all ‘play’ in different ways (example was given that Hive Secundus should be more survival horror with rad-infested remnants of the GS Cult who still live in the ruins).
There was mention of the reintroduction of Juves - with specific ‘talents’ to differentiate them from older gangers. But keep them in the style of the new rules
Weapon expansion packs will lead to the stores and Rare stores lists expanding, but don’t expect to see Plasma guns, lascannons etc... the intent is to give more ‘weaponised’ civilian kit in the way the lists do now, with very rare or even unique pieces making their way in and small amounts.
Xenos races are being kept out, as to introduce them would ‘zoom out’ from the idea of Necromunda (so don’t expect to see Eldar or Kroot bounty hunters for example), however abhumans are fair game.
Same goes for Inquisitors - seen as being far too powerful
The Crocodog is on a 40mm base!
Caryatids are a call back to the OG Confrontation days, and attach themselves to those who become great, or Carry out great deeds....
The FAQ for the core rule book and GW is incoming very shortly.

These hired guns are available for pre-order on the 9th of February:

Helsreach, a 40K novel written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, has been turned into a gorgeous animation by Richard Boyland, using sound effects from the audio-drama version of the book.

Enjoy!

Some new reveals!

This new edition gives you everything you love about Warhammer 40,000, in less time and in less space. Using deep rules for squad customisation and specialists, you’ll be able to assemble an elite team from any faction you choose and pit them against your foes in fast-paced tactical skirmishes.

From one-off matched play battles to in-depth narrative campaigns where your fighters grow and evolve, this edition of Kill Team is a fully fledged game in its own right – it doesn’t use the existing Warhammer 40,000 rules set (but it’s just as thrilling!). Whether you’re looking to try out a new faction or explore new tactical challenges with your existing Warhammer 40,000 collection, there will be loads of great gaming opportunities for you.

What’s more, Kill Team will be released alongside a new war zone’s worth of modular battlefield terrain designed by the same team who brought you the Sector Mechanicus kits.

Yeah, about 3 years ago ;)

It was selling terribly at the time, basically because the guy at the top was an arrogant idiot doing all the wrong things - he only seemed to want to put prices up each year, killed the spin-off games and community support, and didn't care much about gameplay or communicating with fans (he even killed thier social media accounts, madness). They were in a downward spiral of increasing prices, selling less product and losing customers to a multitude of much more likeable smaller companies springing up to fill in the gaps GW had left in the market.

Thankfully, he's since been replaced and the current guy in charge (who rose through the ranks of GW) has made a lot of positive changes which have massively righted the ship and pretty much brought about a new golden age of GW. They now listen to fans, release FAQs and updates for their games regularly, support independent events and tournaments around the world, release plenty of new games and old favourites, they're very communicative and are regaining a lot of they good will they'd lost, and they're now doing better as a business than ever before, with stock literally soaring and entering the FTSE 250 just recently.

I'm glad GW have turned it around over the last few years, but I'm equally glad I got out when I did, i'd have been all over those sea-elves.

they can only fight underwater - you can defeat them by coming back out of the sea

A clear out of the parent's loft led to be me finding all my models from when I was 13. The vast majority had no paint on... Suffice to say I decided that might be fun to give it a go. I'm now some 40 paints, brushes, buying new cool kits and generally obsessed with GW models to paint. Other day I picked up an Ork Stompa that could be a fun build in the future. Also had a drive out to Element Games near Manchester and Outpost in Sheffield - both pretty cool for different reasons.

I'm obviously terrible - but it fills like a skill curve I could progress on, to maybe dreadful at least.

Painted some more Walking Dead miniatures last weekend after not having done any painting for a few months and I'm really happy with them. Feels like I'm getting better even though I don't do it too often.
