Yes. I'd love some books and such focusing on that time.

Also, apparently the Grey Knights have a book full of all the STC designs ever created, somewhere in their library. It was made by the Emperor himself, and the Grey Knights aren't even aware it's in their possession.

To be honest, besides the very end of the Dark Age of Technology and the start of the Age of Strife, I doubt much 'interesting' happened during that time period until the war with the Iron Men and the mass emergence of Psykers and the Daemonic possession that would accompany it.

They could write about some hero or other of the age, fighting xenos, using lovely advanced tech and flying in starships people still know everything about.

It'd make a great contrast with the post-Strife, post-Heresy universes.

From what there is out there I don't think the expanding humans really ran into much conflict with aliens. The Eldar were on the decline, but there was some mention of generally cordial relations/trade between the two races. The Necron were still hibernating, the Tau were still in their stone age, Chaos didn't really exist. The Orks were probably around but I don't think they were a major issue at the time, it was probably only after the fall of humanity that the Orks started to really get their hands on technology and spread across the galaxy unchecked. Against a unified human empire, fortified by AI soldiers, the Orks could probably be kept relatively contained without much actual conflict.

Political intrigue? The Emperor's pre-Strife life? The early Mechanicus? Foreshadowing events, like A.I.s going rogue on remote worlds, or the taint of Chaos seeping out of the immaterium?

We have plenty of gooseberry fool going on during peacetime here on Earth now, imagine what a galactic empire of man will see happen during its peaceful, prosperous heyday.

The Emperor pretty much kept out of anything public entirely during that period of time. The Adeptus Mechanicus didn't exist until during the Age of Strife. The AI and Chaos spread was the interesting part that heralded the beginning of the Age of Strife anyway, around 25k.

Since we don't know what the future-Emperor was doing, it'd be great if we could have a look see, wouldn't it? :shifty:

Just because an empire is experiencing a golden age, that doesn't mean there's strawberry float all of interest going on.

Yeah it's awesome to see Custodes and Sister of Silence minis at last, Forge World is furthering the Custodes range too:

Do we know if the Custodes are a 30k line, or are they going to be romping about the battlefields of the 41st millennium too?

Anyone play Age of Sigmar?

I run a site and podcast - Tales of Sigmar

Absolutely love the game, it's definitely come on leaps and bounds since the introduction of points and that. Off to a tournament end of the month.

Then trying to decide what army to do next. Think it's going to be a Nighthaunt army with Spirit Hosts and Cairn Wraiths but still trying to decide.

 Holy gooseberry fool, small world! I've listened to your podcast and follow your Twitter! I run the Stronghold: http://www.the-stronghold.com/

Yeah, I got a whole lot more interested in AoS with the SCGT comp packs, and then the arrival of the General's Handbook and the Destruction releases :)

 Haha small world indeed! Love The Stronghold forum, I should really get involved over there as my main AoS army at the moment is a Grand Alliance Destruction.

Yeah the comp packs and then General's handbook was definitely for the game's best interest. I've played open play but always felt a bit off just whinging it.

For the better I hope. I'm still waiting on a really good WH40K TV/movie series.

They've really cracked down on pirated codexes. I've been trying to get a Chaos Space Marines PDF for weeks but they're nowhere to be found. :x

They've also recently integrated fan painted models on product pages of their webstore, and have a big new community website in the works.

The White Dwarf revamp is great too :)
