Some new WH40k lore. I can't remember it all, but this piece stood out:

Guilliman has tasked Cawl, his go-to in the Adeptus Mechanicus, with creating Necron Pylons to seal up the Eye of Terror. He is also experimenting with Eldar and Old One technology, IIRC also at Guilliman's behest.

Necromunda Is Back!

It’s been more than a decade since we last visited the Underhive, but very soon you’ll be able to battle it out in the depths of Hive Primus.

If you’re new to the hobby, you may not be familiar with Necromunda – or perhaps you’ve only heard about it from the fond memories of other hobbyists. Necromunda dives into the underworld of the Imperium, allowing players to control their own Hive Gang – a pack of ruthless criminal killers augmented with black-market cybernetics, gene modifications and scavenged weaponry. Where Warhammer 40,000 puts you at the head of an army, in Necromunda, the scale is much smaller but the action is just as intense – every single Ganger counts.

Image

Between intense skirmish battles, your gang will grow from a pack of battle-hungry Juves to a feared and respected syndicate of hardened veterans. To get there, however, you’ll have to battle against your fellow players, each with a gang of their own.

The Underhive is a big place, and the gangs that inhabit it are as diverse as the alien races that inhabit the 41st Millennium. We’re launching Necromunda with two classics.

Gangs from House Escher are fast, deadly, and cruel. While lightly armoured, these cunning warrior women hold their own in melee combat, while at range, they are notorious for their use of armour-melting plasma weaponry.

ImageImage

The gangers of House Goliath are a living testament to brawn over brains. Every member of House Goliath is a slab of vat-grown muscle, armed and armoured with repurposed industrial gear.

ImageImage

What makes these miniatures even better is that they’ll be available in multi-part, plastic kits – so easy to assemble, customise and paint into a gang of your own.

Plastics too! Woohoo! :D

Necromunda was cool and all, but to me Gorkamorka was better. Still, great news.

EDIT: of course someone has made Orky versions of vehicles from Fury Road (spoilered for size and WAAGH):

I would totally like to do something like this.

Think I might do some painting tomorrow. God knows it's been too long. Will likely continue with my Walking Dead miniatures as they're all primed and ready. Would love to start on my Dark Souls miniatures but I haven't prepped them for priming them yet.

If necromunda's coming back i hope the developers of the mordheim videogame get a crack at a digital version.

The new core set for this game is absolutely packed with content to get you started: a full board representing the sewers and confines of the underhive, a rulebook, character cards, templates, dice and of course, your gangs.

There are two full gangs in the box – one set of nimble warrior-women from House Escher and one set of gene-crafted brutes from House Goliath. Each of these miniatures is detailed, characterful, and true to the classic spirit of Necromunda – hairstyles and all! We’re very pleased to say that both these gangs will be full, multi-part kits, with an enormous level of customisation.

One of the best things about Necromunda is building a gang and equipping your gangers with wargear, and each kit is absolutely packed with options. There are weapons for any situation, from classics like the stub gun to more esoteric choices like the repurposed industrial equipment of House Goliath or the chem-weapons of the Eschers.

As well as these, you’ll be able to arm your gangers with grenades, gas masks, additional armour and even modular hairstyles. Whichever gang you build, each member will be a character in their own right – perhaps a lumbering Goliath bruiser equipped with a rudimentary stub-cannon, or a fast moving Escher assassin wielding twin duelling laspistols.

The set’s gaming tiles and simple bulkhead scenery allow you to play games very quickly and easily, and make the game very portable.

As well as the underhive style of play covered by the boxed set, there will also be ways to play Necromunda with the multi-level skirmishes that defined the classic version of the game. These work great on tables using the Sector Mechanicus terrain sets released earlier this year (great news for anyone who built a Shadow War Armageddon board).

Both ways to play are tense, tactical games that recreate the no-holds-barred brutality of underhive war – you’re going to have a blast.

We’ll be taking a closer look at Necromunda nearer to its release, including what you can expect from the rules, how you’ll be able to build your gang and much more – in the meantime, let us know what you’re most excited about on the Warhammer 40,000 Facebook page.

The battle for the underhive starts this November.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... ge-post-2/

Chapter Approved 2017:
- An expansion for Apocalypse games of Warhammer 40,000
- Guidelines on running a planetary invasion campaign
- Updated matched play points for dozens of units and weapons across every army
- Loads of new Missions for open, narrative and matched play.

We are also bringing a whole new feature to Open Play. Designing and building your own vehicles (!!! :D) is a feature that hasn’t appeared in Warhammer 40,000 since 5th Edition. We are going to trial some new rules to allow you to design your very own Land Raider variants and field these behemoths on the battlefields of the 41st Millennium.

Finally Chapter Approved will also give Factions that have not yet received their codex some expanded rules while they wait, allowing these factions to make use of some of the cool new mechanics available in Warhammer 40,000.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... nova-open/

Next codexes confirmed:
We also heard what the next three codexes will be following the release of Death Guard and Adeptus Mechanicus in September. Before the end of November, xenos fans will be pleased to see some of the galaxy’s alien races get their codexes for the new edition with Codex: Craftworlds and Codex: Tyranids, while Codex: Astra Militarum lets fans of the Imperium’s vast human armies create thematic armies from their favourite Regiment.

That’s right – the Orruks are coming to the cursed City of Mirrors. The latest warband announced for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, Ironskull’s Boyz, are here to conquer with brute force and a little Orruk kunnin’. These greenskins will be representing the forces of Destruction in the first wave of Shadespire warbands, released soon after the game itself – which will be supported by its own dedicated website – later this year.

Also confirmed at NOVA was that all of these new Shadespire warbands, Orruks included, will eventually get full Warhammer Age of Sigmar Warscrolls (once they escape from the City of Mirrors, of course).

Dark powers stir in the Mortal Realms. Malign Portents is a major event for Warhammer Age of Sigmar players, and it’s on the way in 2018. There will be big things coming both for the narrative of the setting and for matched play gamers.

There will be new models on the way for this release too, the first of which we can show you today. Introducing – the Knight of Shrouds:

Image

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a new Death model for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Patience is rewarded though – we hadn’t forgotten about you. Alongside this Herald of Nagash, each of the other three Grand Alliances will also be getting a powerful new hero.

Did a massive commission for a friend, painted all his dungoen saga stuff, here's a couple of photos.

Got really into Kings of war, I'll fire up some photos when I finish my undead army inspired by Peter Jackson's army of the dead in Return of the King.

Anyone here own GW shares?

Image

At present, Games Workshop is in short supply of all products due to high demand. As we announced earlier this year, we have expanded the existing 12 injection machines to 15 units. However, after the launch of Dark Imperium, it is difficult to keep up with the volume of orders. In the case of large models such as Vane Blade / Storm Wave, it takes about four times the production time of general models because it uses slide molds, which take a long time for mold replacement and injection before and after production. Therefore, for the smooth production of other products, these products are temporarily discontinued. GW currently has three more injection machines, but has failed to start because of the dangerous consumption of Lenton's power plant at its headquarters, and in February 2018, scheduled to upgrade local transformers and power grid systems in the city of Nottingham It is not possible to use the facility until. Therefore, large models may resume production in the first half of 2018. However, due to increased orders, the schedule may be further delayed. Thank you.
