Since this post last July (!) I've hardly painted any blood angels, instead focusing on my Ork horde (really must upload photos of those actually.

But maybe it's all the hype about 10th edition, I really fancied trying another blood angel to see how I compare to 10 months ago.

I painted this captain tonight and I'm really happy with it. Needs a little bit of tweaking (haven't painted the jewel on his right shoulder, and he needs a yellow blood drop decal on the left).

Painted this model earlier. Had it sat on my shelf for ages, my brother printed it for me

Quite happy with it, but it's was more of an experiment of painting Nurgle/Death Guard.
And tried some glowing blue effects too

Love that work mate the dirty/grimey look fits the Death Guard really well!

Cheers Jay. Can't seem to strike a balance between nice smooth paint jobs and dirty shaded ones. I keep flipping from one to the next.

Good example is a local shop to me had a "paint something yellow" challenge last month, so I did an imperial fist - top row was with the pink/white zenithal primer, but I strawberry floated it with the shading and kept correcting mistakes on the yellow so hated it.

Tried to keep it neat, tidy and smooth on the second one (bottom row) and also hated it  yellow ain't for me I think!

It's not your fault. As a professional artist I can tell you yellow is a horrible colour.

They are really good btw.

Anyone going to attempt to pre-order Leviathan today?

I'm not because I've got one ear-marked at my local game store, but interested to see if there's enough stock on the official website before they get scalped in 30 seconds

Element games has sold out already.

"This product is no longer being distributed by Games Workshop, and can only be bought directly from their website"

And queue time for games workshop site is an hour lol

Leviathan still available to order:

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/wa ... n-2023-eng

Compared to recent releases this is pretty impressive given how hard they've been churning the hype machine.

Wonder how many scalpers are now going to be stuck with a bunch they'll probably have to take a loss on in order to shift

Decided to hold off on new 40K box set, now I'm kind of wishing I did preorder it :fp:

Been cracking on with my Seraphon though, after packing away the mancave for the house move and now being nowhere near moving I ended up buying new paints (Army Painter Speedpaints 2.0 and Pro Acryl full set) they're great paints but having to learn how they all work compared to my tried and tested collection I had before.

Need to finish the bases but doing that as a full project once the whole army is all painted up.

haha, I'll have a chat with our local store at lunch, he doesn't have an online store so he's got shelves of out of print items (loads of the Christmas battleforces for example) still for sale. I expect he'll have some copies available.

I had an email from GW earlier saying there should be copies available in store too, so if there's one local to you it might be worth giving them a call.

Where to Find Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan
Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan has sold out on Games-Workshop.com, but don't worry – speak to your local Warhammer store or independent stockist to find out how you can still secure a copy. Boxes will land on shelves on Saturday, the 24th of June, so there are still plenty of opportunities to get yours!
