They are far, far more tight-lipped and secretative than they ever were in the n64 days - 'we've got this game called ocarina of time coming up, erm it will out in about three years.... Nintendo are't going to let you know of anything new before e3 so I really don't see how you can possibly say that nothing interesting is on its way.
Well, I hope you're right; that there is something of note on the way. But I'm worried all they'll "reveal" at E3 is more Sports Resort nonesense and... er, that's about it. Their performance last year (which hinged cringeworthily on Wii Music) was awful, and not a good sign if you ask me. I'm worried they're out of ideas or just more interested in sitting back a letting crap third party stuff swamp the Wii in hope that it'll sustain the rolling in of dollars. The current growing plethora of old games with lazy motion sensor "action" tacked-on is a joke of a money-spinner, and doesn't hold much hope for me at all.
We shall see.
Oh, and in hindsight, I quite liked the "leave them hanging" approach of the N64 days. At least we had something to look forward to, have faith that something great is on the way and take great satisfaction when they delivered. I'm much more cynical about their approach with the Wii, but maybe that's because I'm older and "wiser".
