However, handling raw meat is apparently a massive no-no for Generation Y.
Sainsbury’s is set to launch touch-free packaging for its chicken pieces, following research that revealed that many under the age of 35 fear that they may suffer from food poisoning as a result of touching raw meat

I hate it. But then again Im something of a germaphobe since early childhood so I prefer not to touch anything which could be construed as 'dirty'.

I don't like touching raw meat, does anyone actually like it? It's not a big deal though, just make sure your path to the sink/soap is uncluttered and plan your cooking so you do minimal touching.

So how are you supposed to cook meat if you can't touch it to get into the pan/grill/baking tray?
strawberry floats sake just wash your hands afterwards. This is like a ResetEra thread turned into a news article.

It’s an odd question. I wouldn’t describe it as something that I “like”*, but it’s not something that bothers me in any way.
*unless we are talking about Hexx’s sausage.

Never really given it much thought TBH, I just make sure to wash my hands.
I dislike articles like this - the minority, 37% of 16-34 year olds, say they prefer not to handle raw meat when cooking compared to 27% of all ages, which somehow becomes: "handling raw meat is apparently a massive no-no for Generation Y".

The results are pretty good when you consider they asked the question at a vegan café.

Absolutely no issues obviously - just make sure you're clean/washed afterwards.
I do hate touching chicken breasts (ha ha :roll) though. Not to the point I avoid it etc, but they're just so odd. And when you cut there's wierd give before you slice. Ew.

I rarely touch meat. When cooking at home the only meat I have - due to my appalling cookery skills - is chicken in breadcrumbs / coating; any other meat I have is eaten "off premises" where I haven't prepared it myself.
I have a feeling that this thread was created purely to facilitate the "out of context" thread .
