Rumour is that this version will include the second season pass for the 3 upcoming 2018 DLC packs.

PC version is available for pre-load. All it needs is 100GB of disk space.

PC version is discounted on Green Man Gaming at the moment: FFXV -20%

Anyone got this on PC yet? Tempted to give it a go for that price, but I've heard a few reports that the port is a bit wonky?

If it's anything like the demo its the opposite of a wonky port. There are a stupid amount of graphics options, a brand new PC only first person view, support for NVidia hairworks and Ansel screenshot taker, new 4k textures and a well thought out control map (not to mention all the DLC and extra material added for free via patches).

Where did you hear it was wonky?

Oddly the Steam version uses Denuvo but the Windows Store version doesn't.

Just seen mention on a couple of sites about long loading times, some jitter and controllers dropping out in favour of K+M unexpectedly.

Interesting. I've only played the demo but it looked amazing and ran like a charm.

Yeah, it could be a few outliers that just sounds more serious as it's early days since release.

Is the demo still available or was it a timed thing? I might give that a whirl before pulling the trigger.

Just seen that Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD is now out on PS4 and XBO. It costs £14.99 but that price changes up to £24.99 from 14 September.

I'd kinda like to try it... but on Switch, and that version doesn't yet have a release date; and I bet the pricing will jump straight to that higher point.

I would only consider it on the switch tbh where the price will be £40. Tbh i have completed the main version on the ps4 and do not want to do the story again.

I can understand a Switch version of Pocket Edition.

I can't understand why there's a PS4/XBO version. Especially when you can get the full version cheaper.

I'd get the Pocket Edition for Switch but it seems a bit daft for the PS4 as you've got the main thing.

Any news of a physical release?

Just completed this. Even got a nifty certificate. When has beating a game given you a certificate before!?

Anyway, didnt gel with this off of the back of Zelda as it felt clunky and combat was confusing. A few years off, a switch to Wait mode and I fell into it again. Even got all the quality of life improvements (switch time at camp, doing ch13 both ways, monster truck Regalia, even the Terra chapter). So that all helped I'm sure.

I hadn't realised how invested I was in this until the ending. I got proper choked up, especially during the mid-credits scene. I hear a lot that people are attached to their first FF, but I've played most of them and this one hit me hard, right there and then. A game about shooting the gooseberry fool with your mates on a roadtrip, ended by the responsibilities of adulthood and having to make the decision to say goodbye to those carefree days. Maybe I'm just in the sweetspot for that narrative, with my foursome scattering to the winds with marriages and kids, our man time reduced from adventures across the globe to odd evenings gaming online, and the occasional meetup, and struggling to come to terms with finding that new balance.

I think it ended so well, I've decided to not go back and finish Costlemark (only one I needed) or any post-game content. After all, it feels like a betrayal of the ending. That making the decision to say goodbye to it is the harder choice, but the right one.

They're also dropping singleplayer PC support entirely after episode Ardyn.

Comrades is being released standalone and the PC level editor is no longer coming by the looks of things.
