What is it with product placement in this game? We already have American Express, Coleman, Audi and Vivienne Westwood but now Assassin's Creed is a thing here too? I don't have an issue with product placement generally but real world products in a fantasy world just strikes me as odd.

Been confirmed that the PC version will have Steam Workshop support if you get the Steam version.

Comrades Multiplayer Expansion is out now, included in Season Pass.

Seems much better and deeper than beta, proper story too.

Only played an hour but server flawless so far. Good fun.

Is there any news of a GOTY edition of this on consoles?

I want to play it through again but am waiting for all the DLC

Probably won't be along until the PC version comes out.

Finished this yesterday and really loved it, mainly because the combat was not turn based!

I wouldn’t say this was a great game due to the pacing from open world to becoming quite linear and there seems to be a lot of missing cutscenes. Considering this has been in development for 6 years i do find it a bit shocking, however there are plenty of positive moments that make this game shine.

I think the biggest surprise to me was how short the main story is. I clocked in 39 hours, but that’s only because i did so many side quests.

I can’t wait until the next final fantasy and hope it has similar combat, but also hope that it is a true open world game.

I've just this minute bought the Digital Premium Edition. I'd say it's as good as a GOTY. The only things not included, as far as I can see, are four weapons, a couple of items, and four cosmetic bits.

£24 on XB1 (but the sale finishes today).

Loves us all since 2008

Final episodic DLC is out today, Episode Ignis. They have been fantastic so far so looking forward to it.

Anyone played much Comrades? Its suprisingly good and seems to have legs for a good while

They also updated yesterday so you can switch between and use the characters at any point in the main game!

Does that mean you can play the whole game with created characters? (That’s what the Comrades update did, right? :shifty: )

EDIT: Or is it just switching between controlling one of the four main bois? :(

'kay. Think I'm gonna have to get FFXV+SP next time it's on sale.

Played, completed and enjoyed base version, even though I had no idea what was going due to not having seen the film(s?), but the content and general updates since then have been good enough to warrant a second playthrough.

Yeah some of the later story stuff was a bit disjointed, I'd got the super duper version so seen the movie (well worth it), anime etc so had slightly better idea.

Handy list of updates just found;

Going to delve back into main game as well as DLC I think, got the awesome guide so was aiming to do all of the hard as nails dungeons, still got few left. Forgot level cap is now 120 as well so something else to aim for!

Plus not tried Regalia off road mode 8-)

Nah Comrades is a seperate story which takes place after the fall of Insomnia and all the towns, camps etc have lost power. You work out of encampments and do quests with created character (the creation is pretty detailed) to slay monsters, escort etc. It uses aspects of the open world but isn't 'open'.

New update which came out yesterday for the main game lets you switch between the main bois bois bois and they each have their distinctive fighting styles/abilities as per their seperate episodes.

Did hear about Square taking feedback for further Episodes, with Ardyn being most requested. I'd probably buy another Season Pass :slol: :fp:

I bought the game for £12.99, have I made a huge mistake?

Nope. This GotY will be £25+, easy. So even if you buy the character DLC's at full price (£3.99 x3) you'll still come out even at worse. That obviously changes the later you get around to actually playing it and so increasing the chances of GotY edition being available at sale prices :P
