I'd advise against it since they can be used for upgrading weapons and spellcraft, but if you really need the money you can sell anything.

Though, I'd prioritise treasures you got from enemies as they're easier to farm and I'd try and keep at least one of everything in case Cid asks you for it as an upgrade material.

Are there any updates on when the Pro patch is coming out? All I can find is that it's supposed to be coming "In December". I'm holding back from really investing any time in this until it hits, so far I've only just got to the port town near the start of the game.

Keep Rare Coins, Debased Banknotes and such as they can be used for Expericast variants of spells. Mix 8 Rare coins with one elemental energy and you can be rolling in experience in no time flat.

Is performance sketchy on the Pro sans patch? Ran dead smooth on my OG PS4.

I hear the frame rate is solid, but not smooth. Like you'll always get 30 frames a second, but they might be all front loaded. I don't think it's game breaking from what I heard, but it depends if you're a stickler for that.

Ignis is meant to do it automatically but often he flat out refuses to do it asking Noctis to use Libra instead which you need to switch to Wait Mode for.

Wow, what a terrible ending. Not so much the story. Just the bosses and how badly certain things are explained.

Why do so many games just disregard the basis of the game systems in the name of being more cinematic.

That said, great characters.

Especially the after credits sequence. What the strawberry float. Do you maybe want to explain how dead people are alive again? No? Oh thanks game.

If you're talking about the scene with Noctis and Luna on the throne I think it's implied to be the afterlife.

I'm on chapter 11 and I have no clue as to what is happening anymore. I just like making the numbers go up.

Well they did a terrible job of that. Having them disappear would have got that across, they just looked like real people. The game also doesn't explain how the 'spirit world' works, unless I missed it.

I also missed how 2 of the bad guys died. Had to read about it on Wikipedia :fp:

I'm trying out the fishing for the first time.

Oh god it's strawberry floating awful :dread:
There's no skill to it whatsoever, it's entirely random whether you'll get a bite or not. You just cast out when your reticule turns yellow and hope the fish don't turn around and face the other direction in the several seconds it takes. Even if you get the attention of a fish and you get the 'encounter' bar at the top of the screen, it's totally random whether the fish seems to bite or not (And not is more far more frequent occurance)

There's utterly nothing you can do besides change the tackle which seems to have little to no effect on, well, anything, despite the game seemingly implying that reeling in and changing direction will get the attention of the fish. If anything that makes them less likely to bite in my experience.

Sounds like you're doing it wrong mate

EDIT: That's a bit condescending, sorry. I didn't like the fishing at first either but there are certainly more nuances to it than I thought at first. And I definitely found that bait and speed/direction of reeling in changed whether fish were interested or not. Granted I do get the odd one that is nearly biting and then just disappears but I know if I just cast in the same area again I'll probably get it.

(Though I did take a wee break after all the cinematics. Initial one was supoib, the rest, though... :dread:) Ones I'm expecting to be hardest are remaining 3 dungeons and Adamantoise, but a bit of grinding, a gooseberry fool load of pots, spells, etc should make things slightly easier.

:toot:

So proud of that remaining line durability

Hardest part? The effect of the rumble on my hands  Holy crap was it intense.

Done this bugger last night and you arnt kidding with the rumble, was more concerned about the battery on my controller going before the line.

Game completed, dissapointed with chapters 9 onward. End boss was a pushover. The level 72 enemy outside was harder

Nearly all hunts completed just the turtle to go

And one guys quest to get all super weapons.

Also there is a dungeon that when i get to the bottom there i keep winding up fighting 3 iron giants and that annoying snake that turns me into a frog. Any help where to go will be appreciated as ive done it 5 times now

Sounds like the Cosgrove dungeon. I was stuck there for a very long time. Watch the YouTube video on how to do it. Basically when you're going down and pressing the buttons to open the floor/wall you have options. So try to keep moving sideways rather than down and it'll open up a path to the boss. I was there for ages until I looked online.

I'm back into this now. Currently level 92. I competed the worst dungeon ever yesterday. Had about 8 camps inside it and was ridiculously long. Took hours and hours. Then a crap boss.

Only 2 or 3 secret dungeons to go.

Is being Level 40 at the end of Chapter 3 going to break the story battles slightly? :shifty:
