Square Enix are kicking them selves that they didn't take Cindy down this road. Think of all the money they could have made from reaching all those non gamers who enjoy more one on one physical action.

Costlemark Tower checklist:

A Treasure Beyond Measure: ✔

Defeat monster in the innermost sanctum: ✔

Ignis learned a new recipe!: ✔

Specs

IAmTheSaladMan wrote:Tip for Costlemark Tower, get Ignis' cooking skill high enough to learn Lasagna al Forno (level 9 I think) a lot of enemies there hit you very hard with lightning based attacks and that meal completely negates elemental damage.

Strongly considering selling this on at the minute before the value drops too much as those sealed chambers are becoming a chore. Could always pick it up again for a NG+ run when all the DLC is out.

Managed to best it first time. Fluked the maze :slol: :datass: Ta again for the tip  It helped *a lot*.

edit:

additional tip: stock up on Earth Pendants.

No problem, I got stuck in the maze area first time through and was burning through items before just giving up but with the right meal I came back a second time and breezed through with nary a scratch.

Yup, only thing which came close to giving me grief was dungeon boss.

Is there only one area in the maze which gives you a choice of doors/walls (?) to interact with? I based my guess on one of the two walls having a circular motif at its base. I guessed right.

76 hours. A good 20+ hours of that is character just standing there whilst I'm not in room, or the game being paused. (Yeah, counter continues to count even when paused.)

edit: Adamantoise really is gonna be a fight of attrition, eh :dread: Think I'm gonna grind AP and get the limit break nodes. :dread:

edit 2: I just keep finding stuff! This morning I learned of limit break spells, a new mission involving Dave, Altissia having a goddamn x3 XP hotel room (costs 30k. Talk to guy standing beside the one offering cheaper room) and of the freaking arena in Altissia!

Adamantoise down to a little over half HP.

I am so bored of this fight that I am listening to podcasts whilst I do it. Couldn't be arsed grinding AP either.
I think I'll move on to The Last Guardian if I manage to win this fight. After completing the Dave mission. Locked doors can stay locked a while yet.

Just watched Kingsglaive in preparation to start playing this tomorrow. Damn, that was way better than I'd been expecting it to be.

Sean Bean still not able to catch a break. Think I've only ever seen him live through one thing, and even that he still died and came back as a reanimated corpse.

When Saturday Comes?

Also, seeing that part of the DLC is timed that means I'm gonna have to buy this back before the years out to avoid missing some of it... curse you hindsight!

Never seen that, I was talking about the ITV Frankenstein mini-series he did.

Just completed the first sealed door :fp: :dread: My time on this has come to an end.

I went from thinking this totally wasn't for me, to enjoying it, to finding many, *many* things wrong with it, to *really* enjoying it and then, unfortunately, it once again reminding me how much of a mixed bag it is with the final two missions I just did. But I'd still award it a solid 8 / 10.

That second paragraph is pretty much how I feel about the game. The gulf between the phenomenal/utterly ridiculously poor is huge, and the game switches between them at will.

So.....even after installing from the disc and downloading the patches from PSN....I have to leave the game sitting on the title screen for 30 minutes to do more installing?

I've just started this and I've got big black borders around the whole screen

It was the direct opposite for me and I was getting about 5% overscan. Everything importang still technically fit on the screen, but it was pushed right to the edge. Some things like control prompts that I turned off anyway and quest names ran off the edge, but nothing gamebreaking.

I never did find how to fix it since the PS4 settings did jack gooseberry fool.

You probably have already, but have you checked to see it isn't doing something screwy to your TV display settings, Vish? Pic display is on 1:1 pixel / full?

I had something similar happen to me with a PS+ game; everything else displayed perfectly, but that one game had a border. I think it solved itself. That or my pulling HDMI out/switching PS4 off/on again had some effect on it. Good luck sorting it.

Started on TLG but I still haven't deleted this. May go back and give secret doors yet another chance to redeem themselves.
