A room in my house has a very poor WiFi signal from my current router. Can anyone recommend the best way to improve the signal.

Is it possible to get another router on the same connection, then place the second router in the room with a poor signal so it will improve the signal?

If not, are home plugs worth getting?

Is there any other way to boost the signal?

I found the wireless from my Sky Router gooseberry fool so now have seperate AP's to do the job.

This is what I use - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002YETVVE/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

they give good signal and are nice and fast too.

Basically, that box plugs into the network you configure the wireless on it.

It then produced Wifi in the same way a router would but it isn't a router itself. It just allows wireless connections to your network.

so my setup is as follows.

Sky Router - connects to the internet, wifi disabled
WiFi AP - Produces WiFi to allow devices to connect to my network wirelessly.

Can't offer a solution to your wifi range, but home plugs are the alternative I use. They work well and are really easy to set up. The only downside is it uses up two electrical sockets.

It also depends what you do on your machines.

I know a few people at work who tried them and they go so much hassle with video streaming quality that they ended up giving up.

They can be good but it depends on the quality of the wiring in your house.
