If it crashes, there must be something wrong, but to avoid hassle just download the roms.

Apparently it only works with some dvd drives.

A new texture mod that is being made for Twilight Princess. It looks so pretty I can't wait to get a setup to use Dolphin.

It's an incredibly specific model of drive, as such they are really expensive.

Works on my dvd drive.

Other than that, running the game from your own discs for emulation is just silly. You aren't going to get bummed by the authorities in the UK. You own the discs, they don't care that you downloaded the iso, and either way no one polices roms.

You know what the best part of emulation is? Having your entire gamecube/wii collection on hardrive, no faffing about with discs. I don't have to swap cartridges to play my gba,ds collection either, don't need to swap discs for my PS2 collection.

I don't know if you're adamant about going down the path of ripping your own isos and that, but you're just setting up obstacles and worrying about the wrong things.

Download from torrentz.com, download from emuparadise or coolroms. Easy peasy.

Tempted to livestream some WWE 13 on Dolphin, might even get round to doing my "Epic Slap-Battles of History" idea - don't fancy shelling out £50+ to stream the console version, even if it has more stuff like custom intro music and arena creation.

Twilight Princess looks lush with that texture pack, a lot more colour to it. The original was very murky..

Would be tempted to play again with it looking like that. Shame Nintendo didn't put a similar upscalling tech in the Wii U for Wii games.

Got House of the Dead: Overkill on Dolphin now, might stream some of that too - need to sort an odd image ghosting problem first though.

EDIT: and DJ Hero 2, although playing it on a 360 pad is hard :?

Does Xbox emulation exist, and if so how stable is it?

Would love to play Panzer Dragoon Orta which doesn't work very well on Xbox 360 itself and I don't really have urge to buy Xbox console just for it.

Currently using DeSmuME as my DS emulator of choice to play Pokemon Diamond and want to play Gold/Silver or Black/White next but have heard they are hard to emulate due to some crafty anti-piracy measures.

Anyone had any success getting them to run? and if so which emulator/ROM version did you use?

HeartGold seems to work with the latest version of DeSmuME.

Can anyone recommend any good PSX & PS2 emulation sites for the emu and any BIOS files I'd need? Not sure what reputable emu sites exist, worried they're mainly malware-packed. :dread:

I've recently discovered http://coolrom.co.uk/, it's a fairly decent site, just don't use their 'downloader', there's an alternative download link for each rom.

I've always found emuparadise to be great for more recent systems. Their ISO collections are pretty comprehensive with everything up to Wii games. Download speeds are decent too, but they sometimes have a concurrent download limit.
