We used to play that in school , my older brother had a BBC but I never got near it really , he didn't want his brother breaking his stuff ... I never broke anything of his but he did break my Amiga 500 by using it and dropping pop into it lol

Ah that sucks. I've been lucky in that I've never broken any of my systems.

We had a BBC at home as well. My mum was a teacher so I got copies of stuff like Grannies Garden, Geordie Racer and Dragon World at home which was pretty cool. My dad would occasionally come home with compilation discs of games as well. Spent ages on clones of classic arcade games of the time as well as she BBC classics like crazy castle, Cybertron mission and Chuckie Egg. Never did have elite for it though. Don't think I could have handled it at the time as I was only 4-9 years old and once I had my GameBoy and SNES it kind of got abandoned. Then PC came along and just destroyed it.

It's been "officially" discontinued by the creator, but there are ways around it.

I find it good to get Wii U and 3DS games, but I've never gotten Wii games from it. You're limited to whatever was on the eShop essentially.

I find Wii U USB Helper a little fiddly as well. Once it's set up it's quite simple, but it's not for everyone.

I was going to try that but didn't bother after reading that it can't download 3DS games anymore.

There's a workaround for that I think. I'll take a look over the weekend.

Devlin I've been partaking in your extensive collection (kennethwilliams.jpg) and am extremely grateful, especially for some of the wiiware/VC stuff, which is sometimes easier than trying to emulate the games on their original format like Wave Race 64 and F-Zero X.

Yeah that WiiWare folder was a godsend when I found it. So much good stuff in there.

I've not used any of the VC stuff myself (I don't think) but I did snag a load of the WiiWare games that are considered pretty good.

It's also the easiest way to get Mega Man 9 & 10 I think.

Could I get a link too please?

Emu served all my needs for years, very sad to see it go.

I'm a bit of a lurker more than poster but I'd appreciate a link too. Recently had my HDD full of Roms die on me and this would be a lifesaver!

Yeah I'm super grateful for this! I once spent a miserable evening trying to rip my WiiWare games from my Wii U to no avail. Wanna play Castlevania and Contra Rebirth with acceptable image quality :D

Yeah the WiiWare stuff is awesome.

Upload wise all the non-disc based systems are now completely uploaded (I believe). So there is a substantial library of stuff, up to and including the DS, ready to go. Disc based stuff will continue to upload slowly over time, but hopefully we're not talking too long for it now.

I've removed the Wii U folder for the time being as I work on simplifying things with it. Currently it's full of folder dumps which are messy and difficult to read. Games and DLC are spread over several locations within it and it's really not very intuitive at all. This is a side effect of using the Wii U USB Helper, which is currently not working for a large number of people.

I've been playing about trying to get Wii U USB Helper working with no success, which sucks because it was the easiest way to get a lot of Wii U and 3DS games. Mostly I'm looking into a way to repackage the Wii U and 3DS games I have, because just now they are folder dumps, which just don't work nicely for a google drive upload. I've found a site that seems to work and I've gotten a single-file copy of Mario Kart 8 to run, so I'm planning on getting more games from there to replace the dumps I currently have. I'll keep things updated as I do.

As an aside I saw this earlier on today:

So I'll be looking at getting some Xbox games added in the near future.

I can't see a lot of the stuff you're talking about (no snes, amstrad, megadrive etc,). Do i need another link?

I think a lot just isn't uploaded yet, the whole thing is an on going work in progress in terms of uploading.

No, they should all be there.

I've just checked the link in a private browser window (So I'm not signed in) and the folders for all three of them are there, with games in them.

Amstrad is under "Amstrad CPC", Mega Drive is under "Sega Genesis" and SNES is under "Super Nintendo Entertainment System".

Try refreshing the page and check again. If not send me a screenshot.

Yeah I'm not seeing some either, I'll try checking on another machine in case there's anything odd going on with caching.

It's weird that it's not showing up for some of you.

Try and clear your cache's and then load it up again. If it's still not appearing let me know and I'll see if I can figure it out.

I had one of those ages ago but I ended up losing it.

Think I'll probably jailbreak my 3DS sometime soon with it starting to be on the wane now. Not sure which firmware is the most recent to be jailbroken, but I can't see there being much need to update firmware going forward.

Tried out that Xbox emulator just there (CXBX Reloaded) and wow.

It's very, very early days on it, but it's fantastic to see progress finally being made on this system.

Got Jet Set Radio Future working near perfectly (apart from some light graphics glitches) and it's really cool.

There's no way to upscale the games yet (That I can see) so it's at 640x480 and jaggy as hell, but it's fast, it's playable and it feels right as well.
