Afaik, It's an obscure rendering technique used in a few games (Rogue Squadron and Mario Golf for example) which Dolphin didn't previously support, the games ran but certain things weren't displayed properly.

Dolphin can now "boot" every single game on the GC.

Always good to hear about improvements in emulators. I finally got round to reinstalling mine, however all the plugins have been updated meaning my per-game settings are invalid. Time to set them all up again I guess. In better news I've been trying a gba emulator for android because the gf wanted to try real pokemon instead of go, however she changed her mind. As racing is my favourite genre i've found a few oddities I didn't know about, apart from the obvious f-zero and the like; I had no idea there was a tokyo xtreme racer gba port for example, even if does look a bit arse:

Beats playing infinite runners or other mobile bullshit on the train though.

Step By Step Guide For Using NESBox On Your Xbox One

For some of us people who didn't understand how to do everything to get this working I thought I would put up a step by step guide to help us out.
1: DL Roms and upload them to your onedrive account
2: on your X1 go to the Edge and open the URL bar and type nesbox.itch.io/x1
3: opens a page (recommended to make it your home page if you don't surf the web on your xbox like me)
4: Click start and switch controls to the webpage controls
5: click add rom from onedrive
6: Select the unpacked Rom files you want (It sounds like they want them to end in .SMC (might have to manually change that))
7: Might give you an error but click ok. refresh the page (if the roms dont auto load up on the list)
8: Click Full Screen
9: Click Start and change controls back to the Game controls
10: Enjoy life!
Notes: When in the OneDrive page (using web controls) click B to refresh if needed

So having got through Four Swords Adventures rather painlessly on Dolphin I decided on a whim to get round to playing a game I missed out on....

Terrifying textures! Only got to the first boss. Had a few moments of really bad slow down. One room it was probably single frames a second. Oh and Game Boy Horror always looks down when I activate it. Which is weird. Cant imagine it was like that originally.

The Boo puns

Wow, that looks fantastic - the character models in particular look excellent.

When I heard a rumour a while ago Nintendo might tart up Sun and Moon for an NX release I thought it would be nonsense but having seen that in 1080P I reckon they could probably get away with it.

Been dicking about with some Citra builds for the past half hour or so.

Runs like shite on my PC, but it looks lovely.

Posting in here because the Switch thread moves too fast and I doubt anyone cares in there. For anyone who still holds on to the "its only ok to emulate old ROMs when Nintendo sells them/lets you rent them on the switch for a month" belief, there is evidence to suggest Nintendo have been selling a re-purposed illegal ROM version of Super Mario Bros.

I've been having difficulty getting an old laptop working, I've got it running okay but it's too slow to do much with. Last night I downloaded some software to get it to recognise a PS3 pad so I think I'm just gonna use it to emulate 8/16 bit systems which it appears to have no trouble with.

I've been using Kega Fusion lately to play some old Sega games. I've been getting on okay with most things but having a bit of difficulty with Mega CD games. Some run okay but some seem to hang at the title screen or there are issues with the sound like sound effects playing but not music... am I doing something wrong or do certain games just not run properly?
