GRANDMASTER. FLASH.

What went so wrong in your life that you don't want to ride on the Wheels of Steel with the Grandmaster?

A few tracks by one good artist don't make up for the rest of them being total shite. See also: Rush's 2112 in GH:WoR.

Just redownloaded ZSNES and a A Link to the Past

Forgot just how mesmerising that game still is. Can't wait to get my PS2 to USB pad convertor from home and start getting back into some quality SNES retro fun (will have to look at the translated SOM2 and Starfox 2 as well). :shifty:

Then it's onto Super Metroid, Castlevania 4, Super Punchout, DKC, Axelay and god knows what else

There's more than a few by more than one artist.

I keep meaning to do this but whenever I remember I'm short on time, like now :fp: I played around with the GC emu the other week and it kept crashing even on an i7. I'll have to tweak the settings maybe and try other games than just 1080 and Z:WW.

I want to try and get as many emulators working on my media computer as possible and tie it in with my music and videos

Also, sometimes Frank is cool. Not on this occasion.

I still need to work out Gamecube emulation as well; and I've personally finding myself wishing I'd play them with Gamecube controller unlike PS2 emu which I'm happy using my 360 pad for.

Really liking PS2 emulation on my PC though, I can pop in my PS2 games into my PC and I'll be able to play them on my PC with 360 pad & be able to take screenshots with just RS click

What do you not like about the 360 pad on Gamecube games?

I've been thinking about playing some Wii/Gamecube games I never got around to starting or finishing (Nood, you'll be happy to know that DotNW is number 1 on the list) when I can. I was planning to use the 360 pad for the Gamecube games and a Wiimote with Nunchuk where necessary for the Wii games.

I dunno, I just love Gamecube controller and playin Luigi's Mansion just didn't felt right with 360 pad for some reason. But at same time I don't mind PS2 pad yet I'm fine with using 360 pad for PS2 emulator.

Maybe I'm just being weird. Gonna see if I can tweak controls for Gamecube emulator and see if I can play it smoothly with 360 pad - I was just moving/aiming all over place in Luigi's Mansion.

I use PCSX2 to play my PS2 games :) I'm using beta build (r5037) which was hard to find but one of mates uploaded it for me, can fetch link if you'd like it.

I tried PCXS2 a while ago and it was awful, I gather it's been improved then?

Well, I was be able to play Persona 3 FES at 60fps (or somewhat close to it) and it looks pretty good - some of screenshots in below spoiler (BMP they look better but it's 3MB per screenshot! So went with JEPG instead)

I've never tried pcsx2 until now, and I'm really happy with it so far.

You convinced me to give pcsx2 and it's great! Much more stable than Dolphin, with all the games I've tried working great, as opposed to Dolphin running 3/5 games either looking terrible or with extreme slowdown.

I just tried out REOutbreak and it runs flawlessly with vastly improved resolution and AA - take that not-backwards-compatible PS3!

Which reminds me - at the risk of derailing the topic - emulation begs a new question... if I own the game but NOT the console, am I still a pirate/ infringing copyright?

Guys for the more powerful emulators what sort of PC's/Graphic cards do you have?

I think my PC is underpowered for these. I own loads of games and I am hoping to run nearly all through my PC, bar the gun games, using original pads, so I can box a lot of stuff away.

Anyone got any reliable links to the PS2 BIOS? All the ones I've tried seem to be potential virus-riddled .exe files :(

Andrew Mills - Sadly, linking to BIOs are against rules here - I don't mean to sound like mod, but it's better if nobody is linking to any as we want to remain this thread unlocked.

If you do have Silva on Steam though, ask him :shifty:

mic - Most people say if you have original copy and are playing them on emulation (rather than BIOs) it's legal. Myself however, I have no problems playing them IF I own the game legally in some form - which is why I got Mother 1+2 and Mother 3 on GBA before I play and completed Earthbound on Wii homebrew, and I will plan to play Mother 3 sometime this year without problems.

I like be able to pop in my PS2 discs and play the games, however  Shame I can't do that with my Gamecube games w/ Dolphion however :(

Andrew, what's your email address?

Presumably you mean "(rather than ISO's)"? You know it stills infringes copyright, right? I was more interested in your moral perspective...

Yes I mean ISOs :shifty:

And I know, it's what people believe. Not me, it's still "naughty" as far as I know but as long as my morals are fine with it I don't mind really. The only thing I don't like to do is play game when I don't own it in any form.
