Screens look strawberry floating gorgeous, I think even the textures hold out. TP ground textures where always pretty bad though I guess as necessary for the expansive environment.

Although upscaling is probably worth it the fact I can just pop a disc in my GameCube and press 'on' does nullify its 'superiority' somewhat.

One of these days (well "years" or "decades" maybe. I think the Cube is hewn from a solid block of Nintendium), that Gamecube will be gone, but the game itself will live on.

I dunnno, having the game iso's on a massive hdd with less loading times instead seems like an advantage of having to find a disc and pop it in. I mean I have access to an entire library and it's just a few clicks.

Gotta love the naysayers.

I own the games I want to play at high res. If you don't then fair enough, don't play, you don't have to, you can miss out.

Meh, not really. I imagine it must completely eradicate the disc read errors of Metroid Prime and stop TimeSplitters 2 & 3 from freezing up if the maps you make are super complicated.

I have the Gamecube version of Zelda Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask. With this emulator I can play these upscaled on my PC?

You could but its a glitchy form of the game and an unnessicarily.complicated form of emulator stacking. You'll do a lot better just running the game directly in an N64 emu, not least of which are a number of texture improvement mods.

Just download the ROM along with Project 64.

That's a direct quote from tragic. See when you wade into pc threads claiming things like how you are not interested in pc exclusives or any pc games, just bear in mind that other people have never even owned a gamecube or a wii and now they can access those games if they'd like. All about options.

My GPU update gave me a surprisingly hefty bump in PS2 emulation (1080p now goes full speed). I was under the impression these things were primarily CPU dependent.

I might give the Wii emulator another blast and see if SMG can do any better. I'd even be happy with 480p, to be honest. I just don't want to have to buy another Wii for Xenoblade.

You won't have to buy another wii for xenoblade. There's plugins for the emulator which give more boosts in performance and results but I haven't figured out how to get them or how to even use them.

I tried to give this a go but gave up trying to get it too work. I was trying to play CvS2, couldn't stop the display from flickering and I couldn't find the options that were supposed to stop the flickering as detailed in the Wiki.

Can you use a 360 pad to play the Wii games or does it need a Wiimote? I'd much rather give SMG1&2 a go using a control pad compared to being restricted by a Wiimote.



Just playing Wind Waker in forced widescreen, 1920x1080p, 2x internal resolution, 4xAA and 2xAF, it looks amazing!

It might be possible, but seriously, use the Wiimote. Honestly, for the vast majority of the game the Wiimote and Nunchuck are just a control pad. The pointer functionality is part of the game, and it'll be a pain to try and sidestep it. You need it to collect and use star-bits, which is rather critical to unlocking some areas.

It'd be like playing Super Mario 64 with an analogue stick mapped to arrow keys. Theoretically just about possible, but frustrating.
