The first game is one of my favourite RPGs, really excited for this sequel. I hope it delivers on the same esotericism that made the first game so interesting! Two generations later there is lots of potential for the Pawns to be greatly developed (and they were already great).

After showing off the most recent trailer, Dragon's Dogma II director Hideaki Itsuno discussed the action/roleplaying elements in the long awaited follow up to 2012's Dragon's Dogma. Built on Capcom's RE engine, the game boasts a world 4x bigger than the original Dragon's Dogma and offers a variety of combat styles including swords and magic. AI controlled Pawns play a key role in making the single player experience feel like co-op. Dragon's Dogman II will be released for PS5, Xbox X/S, Steam at a later date.

I played it on the 360 - to describe it as 'rough around the edges' would be generous, but there's a good game in there.

Looks like they're trying a bit harder with the sequel.

I know that you wrote this back in May, Robbo... but, just in case you never did pick it up, it's currently on sale (until Sunday) for £4.24 in the eShop!

Thankfully its on sale a lot, so still no rush to buy it, if I ever have a free gap in my gaming time then maybe, big if though!

I was a little perplexed by the title - according to the game logo - being "Dragon's Dogma II" but then referenced as "Dragon's Dogma 2" in the video titles. II is much better, imho!
