Wii HD rumours (Nintendo's next home console)

Could just be an internal scaler, especially if backwards compatability is high on the agenda again as this may mean it is still based on the original Gamecube tech. I seriously doubt Nintendo having had such success are going to start looking at 360/PS3 features for their next machine.

If the word is out that the Wii HD is coming in 2011 (regardless of whether it is true or not) then Microsoft are going to want to be first to the market.

All three companies are going to want to be the first out of the starting blocks, but I can't see them doing so until 2011.

I don't want a new console until Christmas 2011 so I hope thats when the first machine arrives. That will give Microsoft (who I think will be first again) time to make a more powerful machine that is also cost efficient.

I could make a remark about the probable build quality of that next XBox but I won't be a troll like Rik or Octoroc.

That also doesn't fall apart ever 10minutes.

I really wonder on Microsofts side whether their Next console is going to be damaged by the reputation for poor build quality this gen.

tis strange indeed how the dearest and least powerful console (wii) with the worst line up of games of this gen is selling the most. great for Nintendo, bad for gamers.
