Black Flag runs fine - pre-release reviews suggested the frame rate was all over the place, but I didn't notice it at all when playing (maybe they fixed it in a release patch).

It's a very good game and incorporates the gamepad reasonably well; it basically does what the iPad app can do for other consoles (in fact you can use the the iPad with the Wii U version too).

Is there a lot of loading between land and sea play?

I think there is some, yes, but I can't fully remember as it's been a few months since I last played it. I don't recall loading times being something that greatly detracted from a great game though.

Interesting... I may have to get it on Wii U rather than wait to get it on PS4 whenever I get that, then.

The Batman screens look ace, Squinty. The lighting effects are excellent. It may be my eyesight, but is a 'soften' filter applied to the GBA Mario & Luigi screens? I must admit that I prefer the original pixel effect as in the Zelda shots. Even so, those Bat' screens... wow, I have to get into that game.

Yeah, the Superstar Saga ones are softened. I can't remember if I played with that filter on during the Minish Cap. I don't think Superstar Saga looked that good on the big screen, so the softening helped in that instance.

Batman is 5 quid and well worth a punt.

How do the GBA games look on the Gamepad?

They look pretty good. I played The Minish Cap on the gamepad the majority of my playthrough. I think there's borders, but they are very slight.

Thanks, Seven. I had a feeling that it was Child of Light but I've never seen any screenshots or footage from it so I wasn't sure. It looks pretty good so I'll put it on my Steam wishlist and pick it up one day.

Two from Hyrule Warriors.

I'll maybe post more. Maybe. The game is a mixed bag visually, but the main character models are fantastic.

I've not got far into the game but it seems that Koei has done a cracking job with seamlessly integrating classic Zelda imagery into the Warriors gameplay. The characters look excellent and it has wetted my appetite for a 'real' Zelda game on the U,
