PostWii U Screenshots Thread

Figured it might be worth making separate thread for Wii U screenshots in general - I don't think using one that's mainly for PC games in general is good idea but if people feel otherwise then it's cool. Anyway share your Wii U screenshots here!

For best results, when you take screenshot - go to your usual uploader site (Dropbox for example) and upload there.* With DropBox you need to pick "Basic uploader" to be able to upload your image, and you can upload either V screen or gamepad screen, obviously the former will be ideal for best results. *Make sure it doesn't auto scale the image or anything. Imgur often does that and makes images look less nicer.

Here's some of my screenshots from Mario 3D World and Wind Waker HD:

NOTE: Some World 7 and 8 spoilers.

Bit pointless to post VC screenshots - they look washed out and if you were to get better screenshots, then emulator is best bet but it's up to people. Feel free to post VC pics if you want, might post some of my LTTP pictures.

Wind Waker still the best looking game a decade on

The WiiU undoubtedly has some nice looking stuff but Pikmin kind of disappointed me that it wasn't more polished given how long it was in development.

It's the best looking game on any console, even without the HD remake.

On the PS4 you just press the Share button any time you want to take a screenshot then upload it to Facebook (Have it set so only you can see it rather than spam friends with your screenshots unless your not really arsed about that) then view on FB and save before uploading them to the likes of Flickr.

This. Basically hit the home button and use the internet browser and go to site you can store (I've used my dropbox) and upload. You should get the choice between the TV image and GamePad image of whatever is displayed when you pressed home. Then link here.

Personally I use tinypic.com as my screeenshot receptacle with the Wii U. I perhaps need to get past the title screens and first levels of games before I start posting, though.

First level - high score help!

How have the guys at the top of the chart achieved such high scores? I've 'perfected' the level but can't get near 'em! Perhaps... are they using one of the different characters?

WiiU love

I was thinking that. I haven't played it in Dolphin but the screenshots I've seen of that are nicer looking.

I like both, it's bit different style - Wind Waker GC looks so stylish but HD remix is "cleaner" if that makes sense. There's no arguing that Wind Waker is best looking Zelda game so far, though

That and HD Remix is better for quick sailing / other stuff that makes it more enjoyable in my opinion. All in all it was nice christmas gift from someone :)

Do you know if Dolphin supports Wii U Pro controller yet? Love that controller and I would love to play Twilight Princess with that Skyward Sword graphics mod as I fancy replaying through it but I don't want to put up with boring graphics haha.

Anyway yes I'm serious about this thread. The NeoGAF thread has shown how beautiful Wii U games can be (sadly the screenshots are limited to 720p though...) and if I could I'd just post over there but alas I only have Gmail address, so here it is. Thought it'd be cool if other GRcade Wii Uers share theirs.

I gonna guess it's the dance move. I think it's one of the shoulder button.

Pikmin looks that good?!

I'm paying more and more attention to the Wii U now. I'll probably pick up a few of the cheaper games and get one later in the year. I reckon a basic second hand one will hit £100ish by the time the year is out.

Should pick up Premium console unless you really like the colour white, I only say this because for some baffling reason, you can't individually move save data from games you've installed on HDD - you have to move the whole lot onto system memory. Considering I like to have saves on my system memory just in case HDD goes failure it's bit stupid move by Nintendo. Hopefully will be patched to change that...

But yeah, it's good time to pick up Wii U at least. Bear in mind some Wii U games hold their value - although not much, mostly £30~£40.

Pikmin 3 is honestly one of prettiest game I've seen, honestly. I really fancy replaying it sometime.

Yep, hit the Dance button whenever you have a spare second and it'll boost your score. The animation can take a second or two so you need to time it pretty well if you do it before a jump or something.

Aah, I didn't know about the 'dance' move. I will spend ages reading a physical manual, but I don't even glance at an electronic guide! I'll give the move a go - thanks, guys.

On the whole I prefer the HD version. I was skeptical at first and there at still a few points I think the original looks better (1st boss fight) but the improved lighting adds so much to the atmosphere. It really affects the different weather, times of day and the feeling of moving from interiors to the big wide open space. You can feel the sunshine. The frame rate though. :dread:

Although (and I'm probably in the minority in this) I actually prefer Skyward Swords aesthetic overall. After a while I find the flatness of WW to be a bit boring whilst SS has more subtlety to it. Would love to see SS in HD.
