Its so bad.

I've made it up to the boss. Died. Just kept grabbing me. I've got to stop for now. Are the extra green shots really needed? Its already a pain.

Easiest boss in the game.... If you know what to do. Merida also gets a whole lot easier to navigate after you beat it.

They bloody well look like it. Or are they wannabe hipster Metroids?

Anyway the thing is dead. If that is the easiest fight I'm strawberry floated. In the end I just did what I did first time but better and survived with about 30 health left. If there was some trick I sure didn't work it out. Took me another few goes.

The Space Jump is cooooool. But like other things every now and then I just don't seem to be able to do anything with it and it just stops. I dunno why. The movement in this game feels really odd. Found Plasma Beam. strawberry floated up some Space Pirates. :datass: Went back to the ship as I'm not actually sure where I should go next. I thought I might find something to protect me from the lava but nope.

They are failed metroid clones, that's why they are so shite and easily killed.

To kill that boss quickly you let it grab you then use the grapple beam on one of the destroyed wall turrets to electrocute it.

Or learn how to do speed boost in the boss room and shine spark into him twice.

Did a bit of secret hunting and then pushed on. Didn't realise the Gravy Suit protected me from lava. Sure makes sense. :P Apart from this new type of lava. Maybe its boiled fan piss?

Found a statue that drained the boiled fan piss away.

Then found a statue that killed me. I ran out of the only things that would hurt it. Last save was a distance away. strawberry float.

must be how they fill the lake

Dug out my Game Boy Micro yesterday and just completed Zero Mission, forgot how short it was I think it took me just under 4 hours. The movement and platforming in that game feels so good :datass:

Started Fusion and I forgot how much I hated the colour scheme of the fusion suit. Those Core X things after you defeat a boss are really strawberry floating annoying too, kept dying to the one after the snake boss in the room with the water and just couldn't be arsed anymore.

Scratch that. I forgot there was one right before the elevator.

However the Bird Man Statue Dude is a twat. I've now died several times. Just about managed to come up with a few strats but it's still hard. After I don't know how many goes I reached a new cycle and another attack. This time metal balls appear and then things hatch and fly across the screen. The biggest issue here is that it seems to replace the other ball throwing thing which is the only way to get back health and ammo. And I need ammo. So many shots just don't count for inexplicable reasons. I also really hate how little distance you can see in this fight.

The Space Jump is super useful but super erratic. It's almost like in some rooms I can fly across quickly and easily. Then others, well, I can barely do a thing.

When I fought him I just hammered away at his weak spot with missiles completely ignoring if I was getting hit.

I was thinking of replaying Zero Mission the other day as well. After years I was so glad I found it within family junk in a plastic bag. Sadly my brother threw away half of my gba boxes but at least I won't have to pay out stupid money for a repayment cart.

Thanks Maf. I just beat him first time. It appears applying some thought and skill to this situation was my undoing.
