Just a polite reminder that if you have a wii u, don't own this trilogy and don't buy it, then you're officially worse than hitler.

Reached Phendrana Drifts. Now have the varia suit, and bombs. I think this is the furthest I've ever gotten.
Beat the plant boss quite easily. I knew sort of what I was supposed to be doing to beat it but was never quite sure if I was doing it correctly!

I am disappointed that they didn't decide to put gamepad controls (putting scanning and the maps/lore etc onto the gamepad) in this re-release.

It wouldn't be a re-release in that case; it would be a remake.

Tried following the instructions to copy over the save file with the friend tokens, but my Wii U doesn't seem to recognise it. The data on the SD card is just listed as ??? and wont copy over.

EDIT - Tried again, but this time ejected the SD card rather than just pulling it out, and it worked. Weird.

Just caught back up on the thread. Me calling Other M a serviceable Metroid game was probably the wrong choice of words. I really enjoyed it, and it only just found itself outside the top 10 games I beat last year (behind: Smash 3DS, Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, GTAV, 3D World, Guacamelle, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Bayonetta, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Golf World Tour and Mass Effect, so as you can see its in good company). It was more to encourage Metroid fans to actually give it a go, because it's a great game, unfairly looked down upon because of the Story and the fact it isn't Prime 4.

I did some more exploring this evening and ended up in the sunken frigate. I spent a while getting inside before realising that I needed the gravity suit to get further. I eventually picked that up and now I'm ready to get wet in the frigate (ooh matron!).

I only found one extra item, a missile expansion near the crash site, but I got a few new scans on my way to the gravity suit. I also found a couple of areas that I want to explore with the grapple beam, when I get it, so I have that going for me too.

Oh man crawling into that area is tense as hell.

Can you buy games from the Wii U store over the Internet, or do you need to do it through the console?

I fancy buying these for the sake of convenience, but I don't actually have my Wii U with me right now.

The music in that area is amazing and it makes it one of the more laid back areas in the game for me. It was tense trying to get out without the gravity suit as I missed my jump a couple of times and fell a long way down

Just a reminder that you have until tomorrow afternoon to buy this and avoid a hitler title added to your profile.
