If it help Cortana is on Android and you can set it instead of Google Assistant and Edge is coming soon so you can gain some parity there and it allows Cortana to notify you of texts and gooseberry fool on Windows when you get them on your phon etc. and you can "continue" webpages on Windows from your phone, as long as you are running the Fall Creators preview.

Shame. After a few months with Android it's pretty clear that Windows is a much better and more user-friendly OS. They should have capitalised on their unique features, Xbox games, Skype integration, Cortana etc instead of making sure all those features were farmed out to iOS and Android. In the end there wasn't a single reason to buy one for the average Joe.

The Nokia buyout was ultimately what killed their chances. They left the management that was killing Nokia in place and somehow expected their fortunes to improve.

If they had spent that $6 Billion on subsidising their own version of the Nexus phones in a partnership with the likes of HTC or Motorola then they'd probably still be in the market.
